2257 regs - finalized?
 

I recall reading something about there being a period of time for comments on the new rules to be made before they become officially finalized. Has that period passed?

2723-2004 and then scroll down the page for "Submit a Comment on this Regulation" [comments have to be in by August 24th].

No there is time. It is not the final bill. It could take as much as few months before it is in effect.

if they decide to go with it like it is, the changes will take effect august 23rd, or somewhere around there

Its not a bill, its already a law. August 20 or 24 public comments stop it goes into effect 30 days later. Right near voting time hmmmm

this small nonsense issue wont help or hurt bush, I certainly dont see it as some overwhelming issue on the voters minds, I havent seen 1 piece about it on the news, although it may be huge to us I dont see it as being some tactic and timing issue to coincide with election time.
