my mailing list coming up as SPAM
i'm hosted with bluegravity.com and have been very pleased over the last 2-3 years.
they've recently implemented spamasssassin and clamAV to filter at the mail server level. i'm was more than pleased to hear this news. :) the good news is NO, repeat NO more viruses/worms being sent to my inbox. (e.g "re:your document"). also, a GREATLY reduced number of spam messages. however, now when i send out to my mailing list (and i'm on it) it gets flagged with a "[spam]" prefix and the image that i embedd in the HTML does not come up. i have an OPT-IN mailing list that people can be legitimately removed by clicking a simple link (which is at the bottom of EACH message) if i'm signed up to be on an adult mailing list, shouldn't i be able to view the images? these just seems fuct to me. any thoughts? |
sounds like some of your text or html is being flagged by spam assasian - check the headers.

Welcome to the internet

It's simply because spam filters dont care if people opted-in and gave a DNA sample to prove they WANT the mailings.
Some filters should be sued/banned because they dont even try to verify jack shit, they just label you and you're boned regardless of your legitimacy and compliance with all laws. Good luck. |
