for me video take too long to download, i only used to download mp3s from file sharing networks

Just try not to have the same mindset as the RIAA and metallica did with mp3s lol

There are lots of advantages to purchasing a membership that downloading vids off P2P can't offer .. such as the guarantee that the file isn't corrupt at the source, faster download speeds usually as well as other incentives like message boards, video chat, pics to surf while your vid is downloading etc.

You don't have to face the fact that you were able to find parts 1 3 and 6 but not 2 and 5.

Plus there's benefits of having people download your stuff for free. Ever wonder how much traffic cumfiesta.com gets because of all the watermarks in their vids that people find for free off kazaa ? I bet that's a big part of their continued success.

A good paysite offers..

Hundreds of videos, including plugins like Hustler which has tons more movies, chat, pics.. etc. and it's all organized in multiple formats. The videos usually are chopped up into scenes with thumb previews and you can surf all day watching the stuff you like.

P2P's like Kazza offer..

tons of mislabeled files, corrupt files that don't play, not to mention viruses. You also have no idea what you're getting until it's downloaded and you have to hope for the best, and the dl times can take forever. You need to download movies today so you can watch them tomorrow.

Why not do what the music industry is doing and flood p2p with corrupted files such as a video which plays for 15 seconds then goes blank?

Also, have you considered that your competitors might be putting out alot of your stuff on p2p to fuck you over. I bet that happens.

Yes, that is exactly what we think about our "ideal" concept of memberships. But unfortunately most of the surfers and p2p clients doesn't think about that and download the videos anyway. Your conceptual idea (that's true) is fine. All of us know that, but they still download them. It's the same MP3's problem. If you buy the original CD you will get more quality, a pretty original CD, the impressed lyrics, etc.

It's a shit, but i think that we can't do nothing against that.

Anyway i think that the surfer doesn't need to be stupid for by memberships. A person who buy original software isn't stupid. Always will be people who bought them and people who doesn't want to pay and prefer to download the videos on a p2p software or get enough material surfing into some free TGPs.

File sharing will always be there, I'm really not even sure what percentage of sale this effects.
