Damn I feel so bad for the woman. Luckily though she still has her life and after going up against that thing she is one lucky lady.

why was she that close to a 12 foot alligator. they can't exactley sneak up on you on land.

she was probably doing something stupid like trying to feed it and got hrut. good. it's too bad she didn't die.

You can't blame the poor thing. Alligators have brains the size of peanuts and mainly act on instinct.

in actuality, they probably thought they were going to slice the thing open and save the arm.

They always kill animals that attack humans. They've done that with bears up north of here. I guess they don't want them making it a habit.

Because people probably taste really good. Alligators eat sewer rats and turtles and maybe a bird here and there- a person's got to be some good eats, and a few days if not weeks worth of food. I know if I find a restaurant I like I tend to go back :winkwink:

Yes, they kill animals that attack humans, because once they are comfortable killing a human. ..more n likely they will do it again.

When I was in high shool I used to feed an alligator that lived in this retention pond behind my work- I worked at a pizza shop so I would ball up dough and cheese and peperoni and throw it in the middle of the pond and watch him take it down. I threw it far out there so it wasn't like he knew where it came from- he attacked it like a living creature- not a handout. Looking back on it I'm suprised I didn't kill it feedin it raw pizza dough- I don't know if they can burp.

Animals that kill humans have to be put down because once they figure out how easy to take down we are, they make a habit out of it...
