How does a guy go about securing major traffic trades? I tried e-mailing some people. I would ask for link trades on message boards but I would just get banned for spamming. I am stuck in a corner. All I need to do at this point is to get jump the big get lots of traffic hurdle. I run this link-site www.zap-man.com I know it might need to be spellchecked but thats ok. I will be honest yesterday was the first day I had over 300 hits. Its driving me nuts. How am I supposed to sent the webmasters that do bother posting on my site any hits? Can somebody suggest something I have not figured out yet? Or if anybody is interested in trading traffic let me know.

Get rid of your warning page. You may lose your Greenguy listing - but it's all good. A warning page isn't needed.

The three biggest guys, Hun, Elephant List and WorldSex don't have warning pages. They aren't needed.

None of the larger sites will trade with you until you can send them about 1000 unqiues - which isn't easy... you're kind of stuck in a rut, and I know from experience that it can be frustrating. Why not get a trading script installed? If you don't have a script... regardless of what people say, there is a knack to getting that first surge of traffic.

The best link trade that anyone can get is Easy Pic/Pic Post. He can send about 60k per day, much more than World Sex... not the best traffic, but fuck it, just use a few blind thumbs to get rid of the free loaders.

About 5,000 minimum. I mean look at it - he's got the balls to ask $1000/month for submissions and is even asking surfers for donations. Very smart - very brave. Regardless of what people think about "greediness", we're in this biz to EARN MONEY! I'm not going to rant but sometimes I feel like yelling in some people's ears, "WE'RE IN THIS BIZ TO MAKE MONEY YOU DUMB FUCKING MUTT!" But you can't send 10,000 and expect to get back 40,000 - he's clearly much smarter than that.

Remember that 5,000 clicks is pretty much small fish to him, 8-10,000 is more of a safe bet. Just mail and ask him for a link trade, but don't tell him how much traffic you can send. It's best to do it this way because giving full details in the first mail sort of shows desperation. The fact that he's mailing back and mail is going back and forth allows you both to become familiarised with each other... the more mail flows, the more you'll trust each other. I don't like to be unsure, I always do things link trades this way.
