Should I go to a webmaster convention if I dont know anybody?
 

I went to one once but I didn't know anyone so I just walked around by myself like an asshole.

are they worth going to if you dont know anybody? like how do you meet people if you dont know anyone?

Walk the hallways, say hello to everyone at everybooth and you will meet people, if you are a little shy, then have a couple of drinks and it will be all right :)

Plan to meet people there - throw a party, invite other players...network with other players...it's what the conventions are all about

People in this industry are really friendly. Just loosen up and you'll have a good time.

That is the easiest way to make contacts. Introduce yourself. approach the tables and don't forget to bring your card. so others will know you more and not just by name. Take the chance. :thumbsup
