Is the Westin Diplomat for Internext really booked???
 

Or did I speak with someone who didn't understand that we'd reserved the entire hotel? She said every room is booked...so where should I stay at??

Did you tell them you are coming in with Internext ?

If you dont have a room, start calling the day before or day of the first day. People cancel rooms all the time. I got a room there a few years back doing that. So worth a shot.

Yes, it's booked. Get on the waiting list. In fact, there are people who have been able to get a room when they get there. People cancel! :)

I stayed at the HI last year because I wanted an ocean front room and none ever opened up at the Westin. IMHO, it's a nasty hotel :(

Again, get on the Westin waiting list :)

There is a bunch of hotels around the diplomat but they arent as good.

it's half a mile away (i.e. walking) from the Westin Diplomat, and it's excellent, with a small pool, the ocean's beach nearby, the waterways on the other side, and it's around $80/room/night.
I stayed there for the Internext 2002 and I enjoyed it very much. :thumbsup

People with reservations have until 3 days before checkin time to cancel.

I know two people who just took a chance and showed up at the hotel last year after being told it was booked, and they BOTH got rooms.

I'm sure lots of rooms will open up.

How many rooms does the Diplomat have?
Has this ever happened before? Them being sold out?
