Florida - can you suggest popular banks?
Are there any big banks in Floriday (Ft. Lauderdale area) that are in other states? Currently in the midwest the two most popular banks are:
Wells Fargo US Bank But they don't have any locations in Florida. |
Bank of America is the only way to go mang..

Eastern Financial Credit Union - No fees... get a sponsor

Wachovia is pretty popular. I personally don't like B of A, they have really shitty service. I like AmSouth and Mercantile bank personally, but I don't think they are national.

Wachovia (formerly First Union) They are ALL over the place!!!
|
Wachovia all the way, and my banker doesn't give a shit about my ponr checks :)
Bank of America on the other hand seems to be run by a bunch of Christian Zealots, they closed a buddy's account when they noticed the pink4free on a check memo line :2 cents: |
Wachovia :thumbsup

I use Colonial Bank and AmSouth.

I have three acounts (Florida resident):
-Bank of America -Wachovia -Washington mutual. Listed in order, from best to worst. WaMu doesn't rub me right. Perhaps it's the 45-minute wait to handle a wire transfer. :BangBang: |
Hey Steve,
Good to see ya... The most popular banks as others have stated are: Wachovia, Bank Of America & Washington Mutual. I have banked with Wachovia, formely First Union, for years. I like them a bunch! I am not crazy about BOA, and Washington Mutual always has long a$$ lines in the branches! If you need anything let me know bro... Warm regards, --=Chipmunk=-- |
WM has always been good for me

Why I don't like BofA.
When I opened my account with them they had a deal where if you kept your ballance over X amount you got free checking and a bunch of other crap- so I picked that one. All my paper work and documents when I opened the account were for the account that showed as long as I kept X dollars my account was free. So I never used the account and never checked my statements (which I know now is stupid). So to make a long story short 4 months down the line I find out that they've been charging me $20 a month for an account that should have been free. I never spent a dime. First I tried to call, wich pissed me off more then anything because you enter in your account number and social like 3 times, and then when the operator pics up the ask you for your account number and social. So I went to the bank and I even brought the print outs and doccuments from when I opened the account, and I showed them to the manager who said he realized it was their fault, but they could only refund 2 months- which is BS. If the bank made an error and raised your balance 5 yrs ago they would track you down like a dog and get it back- but if the error is in their favor they can only replace 2 months. Any other bank would have set it straight. So I closed the account- Fuck em! :321GFY |
