Question about the new 2257 and models privacy...
I am still learning all this shit, and I think this is a great question regarding all this shit
my wife has done porn for years, and has TONS of content out there of her..... with the new 2257, does this mean any schmuck can buy some content of my wife, then recieve all her legal docs from that shoot? she is worried about this, because there is an invasion of privacy issue here regarding her address and real name basically, any surfer with $50 in his visa can go and buy some content and get all her info...INCLUDING her real name and address.... |
well now that'll make for an interesting court case now won't it?
Fuck Bush and fuck the religious right :321GFY |
if she does a shoot AFTER the new docs come out.... then yes, the person who buys it would have more info on her than you do.

Welcome to Republican America Jace. Girls can either flip burgers at McDonalds for $8 and hour , or deal with the new laws.. or find a working man to support her.

luckily tabitha doesn't do any content stuff anymore, but shit man, all these girls that have no idea will have their info everywhere i think there should also be a stipulation within the new 2257 laws that says a content producer HAS to notify the girls of this before shooting, and the girls must sign a piece of paper saying they are aware their info will be given to ANYONE with a credit card |
There are several implications arising from the new 2257 regulations, both legal and practical, in respect of "anyone" having access to model information.
For whatever it is worth, I submitted my comments on the regulation changes. You can do the same by visiting http://www.regulations.gov/ do a keyword search on 2723-2004 and then scroll down the page for "Submit a Comment on this Regulation" [comments have to be in by August 24th]. But in the meantime, although I understand those concerns, my view is that if the excrement hits the fan, it's me that could be facing 5 years inside. Therefore unless the rules are changed to specifically allow something else, once they are in effect I shall not be buying content from anyone who does not provide complete, in-clear records. If I screw up, that is my fault, but I'm just not ready to run the risk of being a test case for someone else's theories on what may or may not be acceptable. |

the freaks are who I have the problem with...there are some fucked up people out there |
I wanna throw out something i haven't heard or at least haven't seen brought up.
Isn't a model that you pay an employee? If so then how does this conflict with the laws that pertain to empl0yee privacy? I mean when i used to work in the real world we couldn't tell anybody anything past "yes they work for us" or "no they don't". Any input? |

Doing work and getting paid doesn't make you an employee. |
Good point... You get some crazed stalker out there and not a porn company... man that could be some scary shit...
God Bless America |
I understand your position..But a model signs a contract to do work for you. So she is an employee for that time period.
|
a model is contract labor and gets paid as contract labor
she is not nor ever will be an employee |

she signs a model release and RARELY tax forms as contract labor |
