Public Health Announcement: Work Related
I am not one for making excuses or one who suffers from "designeritis" that dreaded disease that has taken more deisgners friends and family lives than any other in history... but just wanted to make a public announcement regarding my health this last week.
Towards the end of last week I started to suffer from bouts of muscle cramping. It began with my lower back, and then upper back, and my sides if I reached for things. I would get stuck in my office chair for 20-30 minutes trying to move or just breathe. I chalked it up to just my over all physical conditioning being that I'm overweight and am sedentary pretty much 12+ hours a day. These issues caused me to lose focus on a lot of things in that I was just trying to work, and the pain was draining me physically and mentally not to mention having to take pain pills to help and the effects that had on my concentration. It then all culminated in an event yesterday that I can only describe as a nightmare. I began to suffer severe cramping in my legs, starting with my left calf, then right shin, then left shin, then both feet all cramping together at the same time. I was completely immobilized. This continued all night long, along with cramping in my shoulders, rib cage and various other places...I am right now completely and totally exhausted as I have not had that much rest and the physical pounding I took as well as I am still under the effects of pain pills. The cramping continues today along with muscle weakness. I notified my doctor and it seems I am suffering an adverse reaction to prednisone which was prescribed to me back on the 8th for my asthma. I have been taken off the prednisone and he says I should return to normal within days, and am supposed to go in for blood tests to make sure my electrolytes aren't all out of whack. Please bear with me as I try to get things back on track. I thank you for your patience. Cary |
Hope you are feeling better soon Eros. Sorry to hear of your suffering.
take it easy and drink tons of water..For your asthma, have you tried advair? I have been using for about a year and i do not use my inhaler hardly ever.
You should think about taking up smoking. A couple packs of Marlboros a day can cure a lot of that crap.
sorry to hear that :( what steps can you take now to help out what your going through what does your doctor recommend outside of meds
shit hope your ok... keep me informed please..
Yeah yeah. Slacker.
:Graucho I do hope you feel better soon! Your doctor should be able to recommend some stretches and exercises to loosen up your lower back and shoulders. I've had the awfullest cramps before, but not in my legs. I bet that hurts like hell. |
