The path of the righteous man is beset on...

The path of the righteous man is beset on

...all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Samuel L Jackson was born, in Washington, DC. : Samuel Leroy Jackson, on December 21st 1948. Initially a character actor throughout the eighties, Jackson has since become one of Hollywood's most admired actors, with acclaimed performances in such films as Jungle Fever (1991), Pulp Fiction (1994), A Time to Kill (1996) to name only a few. Raised in Chattanooga, TN, by his mother and helped by his grandparents, Jackson attended Moorehouse College in Atlanta. In 1969, he was briefly suspended for taking several members of the college's board of trustees hostage; this included Martin Luther King, Sr. It was a sit-in to protest about the absence of black trustees on the board and a black studies curriculum. Graduating in 1972 with a degree in Theater Arts, Jackson remained in Atlanta, finding work in television commercials and regional theatrical productions, as well as a small role in his first feature film, Together for Days (1972).
