Converting ASP/MS SQL to PHP/ MYSQL
 

Is this generally a big operation? has anyone had a script converted in such a way?

obviosly there is no straigt conversion techniqe, yo will need to find someone that is familiar with both langages.

You can probably convert the database quite easily, the asp to php will be a little harder

I used it a few years back to convert some scripts, think it did an ok job, nothing like hand coding it but still a big timesaver.

Depending on how big the scripting is.

You rather like a real php programmer to code you a new version of it in php because it could speed down your script when converting code from asp 2 php with a program.


Okay you spend a little money but you get good solid scripting back for it...

Another sollution is to find a similar script already programmed in php and install that and use it instead...

i am willing to pay a little money because i will save that money anyhow later in not having to deal with microsoft products.
