How many of you would visit Scotland?
Well would you? And why would you visit our country?
|
I would.
To eat fried stuff. hehe. Seriously, I want to visit for several reasons. But i am too lazy to list them all. Why you want to know? |
I want to know coz I seriously dunno why people would come here. Sure we have a rich history and loads of castles and shit but the weather is shit, there's not a lot to do except get drunk and did I mention the weather sucks?? :winkwink:
|
It does suck. But hey, so do loads of other places.
It could be worse... :glugglug |
I've been. I would love to go back. I had a blast traveling there and at the T in the Park Festival.
|
T in the Park is not for me, but is something which brings in people from all over. It was a week passed last weekend. Its supposed to have been the best one yet!
|
Sure I would..
Play the old course at St. Andrews A good single malt whiskey What's not to like??? |
I would like to, for the castles and for the Scotch Whisky of course :winkwink:
|
OH, and I forgot to mention, it's not 110 degrees like it is here in Vegas....
|
sure would, my brother lives in Aberdeen...
|
u inviting me?
i actually WOULD like to visit you and terry |
I would. There are a lot of interested sites there to see, and I would love to visit Britain in general
|
I'd come just to see why you guys think soccer is so much better then ice hockey.
|
I would. I've got in-laws in Lerwick. Oh, and the accents make me horny.

Then you'd see why... :glugglug |
I would defenitely go visit one day for sure!
Must be some many incredible places to see there, and the castles would leave me in Aweeee of it all.. Something that has always intrigued me is the Standing Stones at Calanais http://www.historic-scotland.gov.uk/ancientmonuments Overall, it may rain quite a bit there but theres tons of worse places to be im sure. On another note, did anyone see the conan obrien show where he visits scotland...that was show was so fucking funny lol :thumbsup |
I would come if you paid for the trip :)
|
Can you introduce me to Rowdy Roddy Piper?
I would still come either way. |

|
I've been to Scotland. :thumbsup
|
I would, for football.
BTW: Ross, I'll see your favorites, Celtic, this weekend vs. Chelsea. They were supposed to come into a local bar last night but we either missed them or they never came. Should I get some autographs? |
I have and would again! I loved it there! Edinburgh was my favourite place to visit, but I also enjoyed Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Arrochar and Loch Lomond. Heck, I even got chased down a lonely road by a big, mad sheep! Where else can you get that kind of value for your tourism dollar, eh? :1orglaugh
|
i would, because i want to visit every country in the world eventually
and i also hear scotland is a nice vacation spot :thumbsup |
I was born there.

I want to visit haunted castle.
|
I would in a second.
I have Scottish roots:thumbsup |
The obvious reasons:
Play golf, single malts.... and my paternal grandfather was born in Aberdeen. |
Yes and 2 things come to mind:
Celtic Rangers |
I spent a month traveling in Scotland way back in 1989. My sister also lived in Edinburgh for a couple of years building an aquarium. It's a nice country with cool people :thumbsup
Pitty about the weather though :( |
I have and like the countryside! :2 cents:

Once when driving through the reserve (Indian Reservation, to most of you) I was pulled over by a mule. It walked out in front of the car so that I had to stop. It inspected us at length through the front windshield, then casually made its way around to the side of the car and put its head into the back window and allowed the kids to pet it. We were held up for a good 15 minutes. |
my downstairs neighbor (also one of my best friends) is scottish, hopefully we will be going there soon....he wants to take me and get drunk for a week with him..haha
|
I absolutely love Edinburgh :thumbsup
but Glasgow is a drug infested hell hole :2 cents: |
Quote:
I agree that parts of Glasgow are not places you would go, hell some places you would be shot if they didn't recognize you, but to say Glasgow in general is a "Drug infested hell hole" is very harsh. Its home to two of the biggest football teams in Europe, people come from all over to shop in Glasgow City Centre. They don't seem to share your opinion. |
