I need to replace one line with another in every file on my Linux 2.4 server using ssh.
Anyone knows how to do it?
Is there any method to do this quick?

my question is first how do the lines look like, and where can you find them


i.e. what makes them special?

find directory -name '*.*' -exec perl -pi -e 's/line-1/line-2/g' {} \;
