Grammar Police Under Investigation

Citizens of GFY,

This is Officer Entropy with Internal Grammar Affairs. It has been brought to our attention that Grammar Police is in direct violation of multiple articles in the Grammar Code of Ethics. Mr. Police has been under review for quite some time by our department. We apologize for and deeply regret any ill feelings that Mr. Police has brought upon the Force and our community.

Among the alleged infractions under review:

1) Use of words not authorized by the department and/or The Webster's Dictionary. - Violation of Article 34b-4

2) Lack of commas resulting in 'run-on' sentences. - Violation of Article 102d-7a

3) Use of unauthorized 'slang' resulting in confusion. Violation of Article 21-b

4) Terroristic use of the Caps Lock key. Violation of Article 3e-1a

We will strive to resolve this issue in a swift and gramatically correct manner. Mr. Police has been placed on indefinite administrative leave until the aforementioned investigation has been completed. We apologize for any inconvenience, and would like to thank the community for your continued support.

If you spot Mr. Police, please to do attempt to apprehend him. Direct contact may possibly lead to dramatic IQ loss.

Thank you and have a great day.

It's true. I'm a rogue grammar cop. I'm tired of being subject to the rules that protect repeat offenders. I can't take it anymore. I have kids. I want this country to be a safe, grammatically correct country in which to raise my children. If that's a crime, lock me up.

Subordination will not be tolerated. One more outburst, and I will be forced to demote you to Spelling Bee Patrol.

God, I'm such a geek for being so entertained by this, aren't I?

This grammar cop will be undergoing some nice rubberglove anal fisting quite soon once he is found out, but whichever police force it is that handles it will definitely have perfect grammar used on the arrest form.

Thank you. :) I adore men in uniform, but I'm already spoken for.

If your significant other ever stops speaking for you, I will. I speak perfect, grammatically correct English. I have spoken for many.

Incomplete sentence.

The "g" should be capitalized.

shouldn't it be 'am I not'? This thread is really enjoyable. I happen also to be one of the major grammar enthusiasts in my own language, unfortunately for this case I'm not a native english speaker.

Nertz, I think you busted me there. It's not "I are" so why would it be "aren't I?" Learn something new every day, dontcha?

Entropy, if ever I crave a man with flawless grammatical skills, I will know who to call. :)
