Is there money in it? Worth to invest and start a project? I'm talking about placing betts on soccer games, basketball, tennis, F1, football, etc....

Loads of money but stiff competition too...

Definitely a lot to be made in that business.

A friend of mine launched http://www.footballmanager.com/ in time for Euro 2004 earlier this year. They spent a lot of money (gambling license, development, marketing) and had to pull a lot of strings to keep the costs down, especially when it came to marketing.

Unless you have some serious backing I suggest you stick to whatever you're doing today or think of something else.
