prefill in signup form question
any of you guys switched to prefilled in signup forms ? (joinsite where you have to fill in username/pw etc and then get directed to a cc form where this info is already filled in)
and : does it get more signups or do you just do it to grab emails ? |
There are three main points in doing that:
a) Grab eMails b) Better Cascading c) great with epoch flexpost It depends a lot on how much info you ask for. In connection with epoch the best is in my oppinion Username, Password, Zip Code, Country, email address. This will make the epoch flexpost form as small as possible and its no identifying information. If you ask for the real name, it means people have to give you rather personal info they might only want to give to the biller. Adding address and such of course decreases the amount of fields people need to fill in on other billers, but its again very personal information. Good Cascading Software will store the full address info after the first signup form is submitted anyway, so as long as they submit the biller like ccbill you will have all the data. |
thanks nathan!!! so its worth a try, youre right about the data, i was checking out a site and the presignup had like everything besides the cc number and exp date, thats too much imho
do you know if theres any existing software that grabs emails etc and stores them or are these all custom solutions ? were with ccbill btw, not cascaded (yet) |
