wireless internet solutions
has anybody used this new service from tmobile that lets you connect your cell phone to your laptop to recieve internet access wherever theres tmobile phone service? Are there any other alterntives to this one?
|
Yep, Verizon has a cellular based wireless internet service. You have to buy a special card for about $400 that plugs into your laptop, no cell phone required.

I used them a few times for my laptop. They work fine and the connection is fast, but they are expensive..
In a lot of cities, the business areas are setting up free wireless systems. In Florida, you can find them in Gainesville, Jacksonville, Ocala, and Tampa. In Miami there is one at the Mac store in the falls mall. I think that all of the mac stores have them. Just a little info to help ya. |
yea alot of starbuck's have wifi hot spots

yeah got it in holland too, they offer umts as well, lot faster then regular connections like gprs (which is only 44kpbs), you should look for combined cards, gprs and wifi so you can grab hotspots too
