Vlade Divac phoned the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday morning and informed them that he is ready to return to the team that drafted him in 1989, Divac told ESPN.com.

Divac, 36, is expected to receive the Lakers' full $4.9 million mid-level exception and formally sign a multi-year contract as early as Tuesday. (article from ESPN)

He's a great smart player.

He's ageing though, but if he can stay healthy he has a lot to offer.

When he was first there he was there to replace a Laker Great Named Kareeeeeeeem...

Now hes back in LA again to take the place of SHAQ..

Poor guy.. He's a great player, but Id hate to be him or ANY center for that matter having to come in as Kareem's or SHAQ's replacement in LaLa land.

I don't think he has many more great playing years ahead of him.

Vlade is one great person,it is true he is old but it is just enbough to be in team and to be around with his positive spirit,he rulezz:thumbsup
