Make sure you use a lot of rubbing alcohol just after.

Shave it once a week and it will work out fine. Dont mess with until then. Your gonn have to deal with the itching for a few days. Once you start this deal you have to continue to maint. yourself.

WiredGuy 07-19-2004 10:40 PM

It's your first time in a while huh :)

The first time after letting it grow out is always itchy. Give it a day or two more and be sure to shave regularly and it won't itch any more :)

after a while you dont notice the itch
it isnt all that bad anyways

just gotta keep it maintained
which gets to be a hassle cause it takes a while to do and most of the time you just wont feel like doing it

chicks would rather have no hair then hair
but would rather have hair than razor stubble lol
:)

good luck

Shortbread 07-19-2004 11:36 PM

Exfoiliate BEFOREHAND first of all. This will release a lot of the skin cells on top that you don't shave away. Secondly, use tea tree oil. This should prevent ingrown hairs which is one of the major causes of the iritation.

I'm not a guy but I've noticed it helps a lot when you use an electric shaver rather than a razor. You wont get as close a shave but you wont get the irritation or ingrown hairs either.

hit me on aim

where ya beeeeeen????

King Adam 07-20-2004 12:11 AM

Try a little corn starch ... silky smooth :)

Yngwie 07-20-2004 12:12 AM

after shaving use baby oil. keeps that area smooth and NOT dry which is what causes the itch. Baby oil is the key

buddyjuf 07-20-2004 01:02 AM

thanx alot for all the advice guys :thumbsup

boardersweetie 07-20-2004 01:09 AM

You think the itching is bad?? Wait til you cut yourself. Jesus, that fucking hurts...

Otherwise, try hydrocortizone cream for the itching.

Elli 07-20-2004 01:11 AM

I love my Mach3 :) And if you want extra conditioning, you can use hair conditioner instead of shaving cream.

The important thing is to keep ahead of the ingrown hairs for the first few weeks, until it gets nice and smooth. Then the itching will stop and maintenance will be normal.

Good luck!

V_RocKs 07-20-2004 01:12 AM

Don't use Headless's razor and it wouldn't itch so damn much.

pornguy 07-20-2004 01:16 AM

After you shave, use a semi abrasive cloth or lufa. Dont go to hard, or it will make it itch and burn, but if you scrub a little it will prevent ingrown hair, and also stop the itch.

phogirl69 07-20-2004 01:24 AM

After I shave with my "Bikini Zone No Bumps Gel" I use another
Bikini Zone gel (the one in the tube) and that really stops the itch on contact. It's made for girls, but I'm sure everyone can use it, it's just a topical analgesic gel that numbs the area so there is INSTANT relief of itching, and I think it also helps a bit reducing bikini bumps. GO BUY IT, this stuff is the bomb and it ROCKS!

You can buy it at any drug store like Sav-on or maybe even in the grocery store in the shaving gel/razor/waxing aisle... It's the WHITE tube, NOT the blue shaving gel. It says "topical analgesic gel" and contains lidocaine

Trust me, buy it. You will thank me later.

It works on contact and saved me a lot of irritation when I was itching like CRAZY, only takes one sec to work. Go buy it now!

Varius 07-20-2004 01:32 AM

If you shave with Mach 3, use one you've used one your face 3-4 times already. Less chance to cut yourself =)

Nivea aftershave lotion works fine for me. No itching, feels smooth.

:warning Never, ever spray Axe Effect on your balls.....damn that burns!!

reynold 07-20-2004 02:16 AM

you diid it withoutv the cream eh...or even just a hair conditioner...now use lotion...on the shaved part ok...tsk tsk...

buddyjuf 07-20-2004 03:07 AM

thanx again for the advice guys and girls :P

Ash@phpFX 07-20-2004 08:42 AM

dont you get like stubble? would that be a real pain?

macho 07-20-2004 08:44 AM

Just don't shave there:)

The Bootyologist 07-20-2004 08:46 AM

put some hydrocortisone cream down there to stop the itching. it's so bad because being the first time, your skin will become more used to shaving. also be sure to exfoliate the area daily to prevent ingrown hairs and itching

i wouldn't recommend that - can lead to serious injuries (i can tell you!)

Mach 3 is fine. :thumbsup

StuartD 07-20-2004 08:46 AM

use salt :glugglug

dnsmonster 07-20-2004 08:49 AM

One of the tricks I learned is to use a brand new razor every time, with shaving cream of course. This prevents razor burn. Touch it up with hydrogen peroxide afterwards to prevent any possible infection.
