Dude, it is very serious to all of us, nothing special about you there. I dont think judging a company by the parties they are throwing is a very "professional" thing. I mean these guys work hella hard, and if they let loose from time to time, more power to them. Maybe you should try it sometime.... it really is "FUN"

Good thing we are all of those things.. our networking staff has serious experience in BGP4 routing, traffic filtering/ddos prevention, advanced networking and peering, etc, etc. Feel free to talk to Phil, our CTO at ICQ 25285313 for any technical questions you might have. There isn't one we can't answer when it comes to hosting/networking.

You mean your cage at equinix ? :1orglaugh

Let me get this straight, you got a cage from http://www.equinix.com/ and now this is your "datacenter" isn't it more like equinix's datacenter and you are just a colo customer
:1orglaugh

I thought you guys were just spammers it turns out you are also a great story teller. :1orglaugh

We have a large cage at Equinix along with pretty much every major telecommunications company in the world, as well as the largest sites in the world -- i.e. Yahoo colocates at Equinix. We chose Equinix instead of our own facility because of the connectivity available there along with the redundancy (They have enough back up power to power a city of 50,000 people for a week). Sad for some, but most of our competitors can't afford to be at such a facility.

Luckily Reflected is financially solvent enough to be able to put quality and customer service over cost cutting.

GapingWound 07-19-2004 11:52 PM

From http://www.equinix.com:

Equinix is the leading global provider of network-neutral data centers
and Internet exchange services for enterprises,
content companies and network services providers.

What's there to afford you can get a rack in equinix with bandwidth for under $1000 lol I am more then positive 95% of people on this board can afford that and more...

Sad that you need to spam these message boards to pick up business, as far as your competitors ... lets just look at people who host this board http://www.jupiterhosting.com/live_video_home_page.html this is their datacenter. Looks like a real operation to me.

You guys are just kids with a cage at equinox:1orglaugh

You remind me of LikeWhoa :1orglaugh those kids were also very good story tellers:1orglaugh

It makes more sense to us to buy space at Equinix rather than have our own facility, like I said. As far as cost, our own facility would be much, much less expensive (You could buy a $3mil facility for less than the cost of 20 cabinets at Equinix -- considering mortgage payments). The problem with your own facility is of course connectivity and reliability. At Equinix you have access to a limitless number of carriers at a reduced cost, unparelled stability and redundancy, etc. If it's so lame to be at Equinix, why do multi-billion dollar companies choose to put their servers there? (i.e. Yahoo.com)

And btw, I don't believe ISPrime (who you seem to love based on your other threads) has its own facility -- does this mean they are a second rate host?

Our network has all the essential ingredients to be considered a top level host: Redundant core routers and switches (Junipiter M20's and Foundry BigIron's), numerous providers w/BPG4 routing, and full time knowledgeable staff on site at all times.

and p.s. racks at Equinix are NOT less than $1000/mo.

1. it is not lame to be in Equinix, it's lame to claim something is yours where in fact it is not - you are not equinix.

2. You are telling me 20 Racks at equinix is going to cost you more then 3 million dollar facility ? Do the math, you can get 20 racks for $12,000 per month with power, however you can not run a 3,000,000 facility for 12,000 per month. Racks at equinix cost $600 including power - I know because I have racks at equinix. And no I do not run a hosting company.

3. I do have servers at Isprime as well as Equinix and Rackspace. I have no complaints with any of them. BTW Equinix does offer Managed Servies as well http://www.equinix.com/prod_serv/managed/

Equinix is class a operation, yes that is true. You however need to grow up and get your story straight.

There is no need to spam your service in order to gain customers, just as there is no need to tell stories to make your self look good. Also do your math before you put numbers in the thread
:1orglaugh

I think I am going to get some Zzzzs now :glugglug

To be candid, you're making a fool of yourself on the board with your figures. Equinix is $1300/month per cabinet which is $26,000/month for 20 cabinets (Yes, less than a $3mil mortgage). If you do not believe me about the price, please feel free to call Equinix Chicago's sales department directly at 312-674-9478.

However, you seem to be very interested in the details of our business. If you want to discuss it more please give me a call during business hours -- 877-888-3800 ext 8223 -- and I'll fill you in.

Kid I was building datacenters for go2 before you learned what the word Datacenter was. :1orglaugh

If you are paying 1300 for rack at equinix i suggest you speak to your business rep, because I am paying less then half that in NJ and CA.

As far as mortgage for the datacenter that costs 3Mil, you must be forgetting the other expenses like power, maintenance, staffing, equipment etc and no you can not operate a datacenter of your own for 26k per month. Then again when you will grow up and get some brains you will understand that on your own. I don't consult for free.

Why would I waste my time calling you? I have kids of my own I can talk to, why waste time on some one else's kids

Looks like the only one making a fool of them self is you. Now go to bed it's getting late.
