OMG : Moore hopes to screen '9/11' near Bush ranch
rubbing it in ...

WACO, Texas (July 19, 11:29 am PDT) - Michael Moore's documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" about President Bush is a hit nearly everywhere - except in the rolling hills near his ranch. But Moore and some peace activists want to change that by screening the film somewhere around Crawford. Even the side of a barn will do, activists say.
Waco area theaters in the largest city closest to the president's ranch aren't showing Moore's film about Bush's decision to go to war in Iraq after the 2001 terrorist attacks.
Skip Londos, who founded Friends of Peace, said his group would love to host the movie in Crawford, about 20 miles west of Waco.
It would be a fund-raiser for the activists' group that helps support the Crawford Peace House. But GOP members would be invited to come for free, he said.
"We don't want to play it just for people who already know what it says and already agree with it," Londos told the Waco Tribune-Herald in Monday's online edition. "We want to play it for people who don't read the progressive news wire and that sort of thing ... and encourage some sort of dialogue. ... We want to invite anyone who shows a Republican registration card to enter for free."
Moore contacted the newspaper after a column last month pointed out that his documentary wasn't being shown in Waco and urged the filmmaker to send a copy of the movie.
Because rooms at the Peace House could only accommodate about 20 viewers at a time, Londos said his group would most likely show the film outdoors. He said one option would be to use a barn on the opposite side of the house's yard as a screen.
