I prefer to think of "making it" as being recognized by industry peers as a professional in your line of expertise. Financials aren't the deciding factor if you ask me....

It might be true of all business today in our fast paced society but no one has "made it" in that if they did not go to work tomorrow it just keeps pouring in. Someone pointed to Marc De in another thread. His program is one tenth the size it was one year ago. You think he is happy now? Lensman has made it, and he just redid all of his sites and went reality. This business is very tough to just coast. I think Sleazy has one of the best models in that he does not kill himself everyday for it to keep going.

Happier, yes. When you start to judge a signup on profitability and not just on how many you can jam through in a day, it makes huge changes to how you view your business.

Personally, I think it's when you really don't care much about "making it" in this business that you've arrived.

I know myself and I know that I always want more.
First of all I wanted 1k visitors (I'm running a E/N - adult entertainment page), than I wanted 5k -> 10k -> 20k ...
Now I have 26k daily visitors (66k peak) and I still want more. But now I noticed that I want MONEY and not visitors (my traffic doesn't convert very well with the normal affiliate programs) - So now I'm building a porn-only page and want money. 1k / month (that's roughly what I'm making now) -> 5k / month is my target for the next 2 months. But IF I'll make that goal I know that I want 10k / month, and so on and so on....that's life.

There's obviously a reason industry peers would respect these people, money and talent go hand-in-hand.
