British terror defense book found on road
London, England, Jul. 19 (UPI) -- A secret police manual on how to protect London's Heathrow airport from terror attacks has been found lying on a road near the airport, The Sun said Monday.
:Oh crap
An unidentified motorist found it and contacted the newspaper about the security lapse that the report said would serve as an excellent guidebook for terrorists.
The manual reveals details of sites best suited to launching strikes against aircraft, the times of police patrols, how and where rooftop snipers and canine units would be deployed, and even attackers' potential escape routes.
The reports are dated June 26 and give surveillance and assessment information and aerial photographs valid until December.
Photographs of private houses are included, along with addresses and phone numbers of local residents and business owners.
Sunday night, a senior Scotland Yard source told the newspaper: "We are taking this extremely seriously and want a full and thorough inquiry."
