Anyone here have an epassporte business account and want to recommend it?

So I've been using paypal for certain nonadult areas of my business, but I'd rather not use them. I don't like always feeling like I have to transfer my money out of there the second it comes in and I don't like being limited in such a way that I have to turn borderline adult-oriented customers away. Plus I'd like to be able to sell hard goods again and I can't use paypal for that.

So I've been looking at a variety of options. Epassporte seemed kind of like an obvious choice, but I'm finding their business contract kind of long and incomprehensible and, I may be reading it wrong, but it looks like it will be kind of cumbersome to make use of or get my money out of. But I don't want to be scared off my aggressive legalese if they are generally useful.

Anybody here using epassporte to make sales to end consumers? I know a lot of folks use them to pay affiliates, but I am seeking a solution to sell services and hard goods B2B and to consumers.

Would love to hear some endorsements from people with experience using epassporte this way. Thanks!

Amelia,

We use epassporte to receive B2B and B2C payments. I'd recommend them, but not very heartily.

Yes, their contract is rather cumbersome and long. And, from my perspective, a commercial account is much more limted in what you can do, and fees are higher.

A few examples: - We are charged 9% to receive funds from another epass account holder (that's almost as much as credit card payments).

- We can't receive direct transfers from other epass account holders. We have to go thru our EPpurchase interface, which sometimes, is a pain in the ass. (This makes *no* sense to me).

- Their user interface is clunky, and takes a while to figure out how to do things. It's certainly not intuitive.

On the other hand, I do thiink the epass is trying to do everything *way* above board when it comes to dealing with the CC companies. And, KimmyKim has been helpful in solving our problems.

Anybody else use epassporte to sell and want to give an endorsement?

ePassporte was built with the adult industry in mind. It's still less than 2 years old and growing.

We know some of the interfaces could use some adjusting so that they are more intuitive and any comments about how to make things better is welcome. Drop me a line. Rand @ Paycom (dot) net.

AmeilaG, if you have any straight forward questions about eP I'm happy to help. If you prefer not to post them here, feel free to write to me directly.

ePassporte has a lot of functionality so you should speak to someone about what you need it to do for you to insure that you get the right account.

I had a couple questions which are probably of less interest to GFY as a whole and I sent those a while ago via email, but it wasn't that long ago at all. Probably my general questions would be of interest to other webmasters though and I don't think I'm giving away any of my company secrets asking 'em, so here goes . . .

Can the shopping cart be used with a standard ePassporte account?

What are the advantages of getting a business account instead of a standard one?

What the heck is the difference between an ePpurchase account and a Commercial account?
