My ISP just suddenly started blocking ports on me
I have a machine at home to do development work on and now I can't connect via web or ftp to it from the outside world.
Also, I can't even connect to my main PC via remote desktop from the outside world. Apparently my ISP just decided entirely on their own that they'd just block those ports and more. I hate that... I'm sure they figure they're doing some good by doing that, but I'd at least like to know about it, or have the option to be "protected" in this way. |
congrats

mine started blocking port 25, now I can't monitor my mail servers. It sucks that these bastards don't give you an option to turn it on or off.
|
My ISP did the same, I had to manually edit the port filters on my router.

Is there some way around their blocking 80 and 21 and other ports? |
I can still connect to your computer. :Graucho

Never had that problem, maybe switch to another ISP?

i think they all should install firewalls for residential accounts..
if you want it lifted off, you should be getting a commercial account.. |
