IT's TOO FRICKEN HOT OUT

Oh my goodness, I need air. The air is so heavy the fan barely even moves it around. Ugh!

That's right. 68% humidity right now and 74F.

Guh.

I think it's time to move my work to the laptop and camp out on the deck inside my magic circle of citronella candles.

MrIzzz 07-18-2004 09:32 PM

forget the weather...........you're the one thats hot!:Graucho

Mind you, humidity was just above zero so I'm not sure which is worse.

Nader 07-18-2004 10:04 PM

pine 07-18-2004 10:06 PM

PenisFace 07-18-2004 10:09 PM

I've gone swimming in 10 degrees.

Come to Winnipeg for a winter visit and you'll figure out pretty quick what the definition of "freezing" is. :thumbsup

Keev 07-18-2004 10:11 PM

I hear ya. It's 77F on the main floor of the house right now (10pm) but my office is upstairs, of course. At least it's not a south-facing room.

No a/c here, just an old farmhouse, circa 1966.

I'd rather have 6% humidity and 90F than 68% humidity and 70F. But I guess that's subjective.

fuzebox 07-18-2004 10:13 PM

I've got a nice ocean breeze, quite pleasant. With my windows open at night I'm actually kind of cold :1orglaugh

cool1 07-18-2004 10:14 PM

Was a good hot day today, I love it.
I hope it gets hotter.

Winnipeg MB Current Conditions

A few clouds
25 °C feels like 33°C
Dew Point 20 °C
Humidex 33 °C
Wind 9 km/hr W
Relative Humidity 74 %
Barometric Pressure 100.5 kPa

Elli 07-18-2004 10:20 PM

What I would give for a wireless network right about now. I guess I could always run the long cat5 out to the deck..

Can't you drop a window unit in there somewhere? They're cheap and they definitely take the edge off the heat.

I live in Phoenix - My pool this afternoon was sitting at 95 degrees. It's like bathwater.

Kassidy 07-18-2004 10:33 PM

I totally agree, the humidity is killing me! I think I'm melting.

riosluts 07-18-2004 10:49 PM

68% with 74 f is a balmy spring day. 50 c with zero humidity is barely tolerable, you'd better be sucking back fluid. The worst is high humidity in anything above 90f / 30c, that's a killer.

Me, I prefer it dry and about 35-38 c with a light wind.

When i lived in Florida I had one place that didnt have central AC..fuck I was miserable..

I must have been delirious from heat because I had the most insane idea of getting a cooler and packing it full of ice.. with lid open I would sit it behind my fan and it would blow cold air on me..it didnt work.. :(

:1orglaugh

It was raining pretty hard here.

You could always purchase a portable airconditioner or a portable evaporative cooler. The first will work a lot better at cooling an entire room, but it's less efficient and more costly to buy and run. The second is basically like a chilled fan (mine is, anyway)

Shortbread 07-18-2004 11:27 PM

We can sit here and compare who's climate it hotter all night. But the fact of the matter is that it is really hot in Vancouver right now and we aren't that used to it, so it's more that usual for us.

:Oh crap

Face (o_0) 07-18-2004 11:34 PM

yea its hot as hell here also:BangBang:

MiSsBeHeaDReSs 07-19-2004 12:01 AM

Its so fucking hot here in Cali too, its 11:49 pm and Im sitting outside in the hammock. The heat from my laptop is making my legs sweat. And I have a cooler full of ice next to me. Cant get a break, not even a breeze. :(
To make things worse we have a creepy guy who's been peeping in our windows late at night while we sleep, so I cant keep the windows open!! Its hell. I'm in hell.:(
