Does every company only hire CS people that barely speak english??
WTF... Everytime I call an 800 number for CS on anything the people that answer the phone speak with such a heavy accent that I can barely understand them
And it seems that an increasing amount of them are from the middle East. Could this be the next terrorist attack?? NO CUSTOMER SERVICE?? Just bitching. Sorry! |

Unfortunately, it's happening only more and more. Some are even trained to have an "americanized" accent.
Exporting America :( |
I am still sitting on hold with this person, and I am waiting for them to tell me that they can and will send me the disks that they forgot to give me in the first place. But I spent 10 minutes just getting my address to her. She had to repeat everything 5 times.
And for anyone that is not sure, raising your voice works very well for translation! |
I had a phone call where the guy identified himself as being from a Melbourne-based (Australia) security company, ie the same city that I live in.
The caller ID on my phone said "OVERSEAS," there was a noticeable satellite delay, and the guy had a very strong Indian-like accent. It was definitely not a local call. :Graucho |
I HATE it!
I stayed at a hotel in Vancouver a while back and I wanted to make a long distance call. All I wanted to know was how much that call would cost me. So, I called the front desk at the hotel. They told me "Call the operator, we don't know but I can tell you we usually charge double what the phone company [Telus] charges" So, I call the operator...she tells me I need to talk to the hotel about it, I tell her what they told me, she laughed and said try 411...well obviously that didn't work, so I dialed the operator again. Now, keep in mind "0" is supposed to be connected to Telus, they even *say* Telus when they answer! Telus is IN CANADA! So after a lot of headache, I finally ask her for the customer support number for Telus. She didn't have it! I ask, are you even in Canada!? "I can't tell you where I live!" I say "It's CANADA! Big place!" So she finally tells me no, she's not in Canada and no she does not have access to any Telus customer service numbers...blablabla Typical - "I just work here, don't ask me" Crazy shit I tell ya! |
Either that or the CS is just always fucking braindead.

I am just trying to get a few pc disks sent to me. They are telling me that they can not send them to a PO Box. The thing is that I am out of the country and having my mail picked up by a service and delivered here. And there is no way the local mail would get it to me..
They just keep going round and round. |
