again about offshore

anybody know pls, if i have my offshore company and i will open a bank account on this comany name, and i will get a Visa for that account, the Visa will have just the company name on it or will have both (the comany + my name) names on it?

thx

There is no such thing as an anonymous credit card. Even if it is issued to a company name there will be a primary responsible cardholder attatched to the account.

and the primary responsible cardholder name will appear on the card with the company name? it is not possible to have the card just with the company name on it (without responsible cardholder name)?

Theo 07-17-2004 11:47 PM

i think it's impossible

JulianSosa 07-17-2004 11:56 PM

Both for sure.

the Shemp 07-18-2004 12:16 AM

my offshore cards have both my name and the company name on them

No Visa issuing bank will issue a ghost card (card without a name on it). It's simply to risky from a fraud stand point.

A card without a name on it means technically anyone could use that card. What happens if someone steals the card from you? You can't prove the transaction aren't yours. Or on the flipside, what would stop you from claiming all transactions as fraud?

What is the reasoning you have an offshore card?

Pleasurepays 07-18-2004 12:32 AM

you can get anonymous Cirrus cards (ATM only) still with no name on them with several banks.

you cannot get a "credit card" or "debit card" without a persons name on it.

Do you really need to ask that question?

My thoughts exactly.

michael2002 07-18-2004 01:50 AM

ok, but if will have both names (company name+my name) when i will withdrow money from ATM the bank that have the ATM will register my name in they transactions? or will be just a transaction from a account number to another account number without any names?

if its a corp, your personal name shouldnt show up on the company bank statements.

you don't have a debit card or credit card without a name on it.

Toni 07-18-2004 02:18 AM

Why don?t you ask the company that will open that account for you??

BoNgHiTtA 07-18-2004 02:24 AM

Tax avoidence = legal

Tax evasion = illegal

My visa card says my company name with no name attached to it, my mastercard says "usa" as name

paypal will let you put any name you want on the visa card

czarina 07-18-2004 03:20 AM

It is possible. One of my corp. credit cards has the corp name twice on it, and no person name. It is kind of cool to see the clerks' faces when they try to match my ID to it :)

Visa & Mastercard have 6 regions each I think.
Per EACH region the card products are a bit different. Generally all "no name" and similar card products exist outside of United States of America. This is the policy of card associations due to USA recent financial policies.

So it is quite possible that in some VISA region they might be a card in existance that has no name on it or whatever. Besides an issuing bank may have it's own deal with VISA/MC.

We are generally very familiar with debit Cirrus-Maestro (MasterCard product) cards which are issued only with company name on it.

Trying to stay anonymous is not a crime. You can be 500% legit person and still You wouldnt want someone to know too much about Your funds because as long as You have money there will be a lot of people trying to steal it from You.

Swiss banks (UBS for example) have the following beautifull card product as a VISA classic credit card which not only doesn't have Your name on it but doesnt have BANK name on it as well!!! The minimum deposit for such card is 100 000 USD.

While AmEx Centurion , black AmEx has a name on it, and a credit line of half a million USD. :)

If You havent seen something it doesnt mean it doenst exist. :)

Theo 07-18-2004 05:53 AM

ah i want a black AMEX :)

oblako 07-19-2004 06:31 AM

They do not show the person's name on debit ATM cards Visa Plus and Cirrus
