Happy Bday to your Mom first of all.:)

About the gift part, i can't really tell you what to get her because i dont have any in mind now, but get her something that would be useful to her. Also, something that she needs would be great, call her and ask some questions or go visit her.:thumbsup

She would probably really like a picture of you, or if you have kids or family, a group picture.

Plants are good if she's into houseplants.

Just dont get her a machine for the kitchen, and you're halfway there, lol :winkwink:

If you can't think of anything, you can't go wrong with flowers. After all it's the thought that counts right? :Graucho

Well, first of all it all depends on how much you want to spend on her.

1. Do NOT get her something useful
2. Do NOT get her something she needs
3. Skip the flowers

If you want to impress then do something close to the heart.

1. Get a picture of you as a baby with your mom, have it enlarged (they have those instant machines) and put it in an EXPENIVE frame (skip the dollar store plastic crap, spend the money on a decent one, even expensive ones are cheaper than most gifts.

2. Give her an invitation specifying a specific date and time you are going to pick her up. Suggest "casual clothing". When you pick her up bring her to a park near the water if possible for a picnic (don't tell her where you are bringing her or why). Have a picnic basket prepared by the deli to include a little bit of a variety of things that would make her feel like she is being spoiled. Have a single flower there to give her and just sit by the water and relax and just talk......tell her about little things she has done for you that meant a lot...and you should have told her before how much it meant...go for a walk.....enjoy the day.

Nothing could be more special than knowing that a child you raised appreciates you and remembers all the little things you did that you thought went unnoticed. It will do wonders for her soul and your relationship. Mom's can never be replaced and are not a part of our lives long enough. I lost mine before I could ever take her on that picnic...don't make the same mistake.

ok now I'm crying...but is it because this came from someone with MILFCRUISER in their signature or from the sentiment of the post?

Does she collect anything?
My mom collect bunnies and dolls, so I always know what to get her. :)

I think it's better if you're going to cook her favorite food :thumbsup :)
