It's baaaack... West Nile Virus
 

Just heard on the news that WNV is earlier than expected and is expected to hit all 50 states this year.

Are you frightened?

I am. Not in the USA but it's here too and the mosquitos adore me! :(

Just got back from the bush, if it's out there I got it.

nope, im neither young enough or old enough for it to really effect me.

Not at all, Live in the New Orleans area, everything that is not city is swamp. Not a baby and not an old man, probably already had it and imune system fought it for me, for most people this is nothing but cold/flu like symptoms.

Well, I have a little one who has a real low end immune system which worries me when I hear things like this.

Our town sprayed for mosquitos to help ward off West Nile...but...they sprayed the park next to her school and after 10 minutes outside in her school yard she became very ill with a horrendous rash over all exposed areas. She is allergic to the chemical used to spray so she spent 10 days drugged up fighting off the reaction. She is also allergic to all bug sprays as well as mosquitos. This is not going to be an easy summer.
