As Aaron's said yesterday, for some people beeing succesfull is making 5gs a month from porn . For some other that makes 20-30k a month, they are just starting .

We all got different standards . APC really looks good and WILL work so its not money thrown away

well... 25k later.. they now have clearly established themselves as an industry leading sponsor in the eyes of people from this board... 25k is not much of an expense when they'll calculate their revenue minus expenses at the end of the year.. :2 cents:

Yep - they're the same people who want to pay pennies for pictorial and written content.

They just don't understand that if you want to make money you have to spend it - it you want quality content then it costs and the guys at APC have spent on content so why not spend on advertising?

APC spent this money very wisely. It's got everybody talking about them, I'm sure they've seen a TON of signups and they'll multiple their money several times in the next month. :thumbsup

They're not the first sponsor to do it, so I'm sure it's effective.

It costs money to make money. In this industry you have to stand out and having the board skinned sure makes an impression....a far bigger one than any rotating banner or sigs could.

two of the companies were silver cash and ADS (from ARS). hardly nobodies in this industry. just because you have a piss-poor memory doesn't mean the literally thousands of other webmasters surfing this board do as well.

Well, you've got a long thread right here. You've got EVERYONE posting about it; plus their banner regularly appearing in everyone's signature. There will probably be talk about it all week... and if I had any traffic, I know I'd be pushing their program. The Hawgs have a definite knack for making the bucks.

It amazes me that some of you have no clue as to ROI. Not all advertising is worth the money spent.

There is no way in hell that the ROI comes back on this expenditure. They are willing to lose money on this spend because they can get a jump quickly.

Awesome conversions will drag in more webmasters quickly. Look at anything Bang Bros does.
