Like they need more money though. I can only imagine what they were getting per episode each.

They were getting 100,000 per episode. But I'll still miss them on the show, it won't quite be the same.:)

If their contracts are from the start of the show, they may have gotten far less than the popularity of the show calls for.

It's really fucked up to just fire them instead of saying no though.

- I don't know if that means they were allready fired- or if they were holding out to break CBS. There's nothing wrong with asking for more money, but it can get out of hand...

$100k per episode EACH, for actors in what amounts basically to supporting roles..... sounds like pretty decent bucks to me. What do they do, 14 episodes a season?

Yeah, they were so hard done by. Now they're out of their jobs all together. Some actors don't seem all that bright off camera.

Too bad they fired them. I have a feeling they did this because they are afraid that other cast members would do the same. I guess the whole cast has to do a walkout for it to work.

Since they got this new CSI NY thing, they probably don't care.

It's not quite an ensemble cast like friends. William Petersen who plays Grisom could be considered the star but the other cast members including Fox and Eads play a big part in the show.

In related news:

William Petersen, has expressed distaste for the franchising of the series and stated that he will be leaving as soon as his contract is fulfilled

It would really suck if CSI replaces the entire cast...don't know if I'll still watch it.

They have CSI New York coming out. With this franchise the actors are not as important as the storylines and special effects / computer created impossible camera angles.

From purely an outsider's standpoint looking on the surface only.... they would appear to be two quite greedy idiot actors who just blew a 1.5 mil per year job because they thought the were "worth more" than a lousy paltry measly $100k an episode.
