[pics] First shoot with D70 - Keewee
Finally got to put the new D70 to a test.
Think it did rather well. I shot this little firecracker last night, her name is Keewee. I shot her for a site that will be up shortly. Comments suggestions welcome... These are the lesser of the nude shots... Here are a few.. I have a few more editted pics.. http://www.mackeydesigns.com/keewee/01.jpg http://www.mackeydesigns.com/keewee/07.jpg |
I really like th water droplet pic...and shes got a mysterious face
|
Nice pics but the girl is ugly.
|
|
I like the girl.. Really nice image quality also. top notch bro.
|
Yep, TOP NOTCH!!! Looks like the D70 and your photo skills rock.
|
the image quality is much better than expected - how about print quality with this cam?
|
how much was that cam?
|
Those pics came out really nice! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
|
I haven't really put print quality to the test yet.
We'll see though, i have a few images that i want to print. 8x10 should be crystal though.. |
D70 Body Goes for 999.00
I used a few different lenses though. Wide Angle ED 18-35mm 50mm 1.4 Used a portable flash unit from Bowens/Pioneer that wasn't sync'd to the camera, so i was able to get really a fast shutter speed from it... Worked out very well IMO.. http://www.mackeydesigns.com/keewee/06.jpg |

the lens, are they just generic lens or a certain brand? |
Don't like the shadows in the first pic...
.....love the second pic! |
crisp picture quality :thumbsup
|
Could you advise on lower end lighting for someone just starting out, but wants more than camera attached flash.
Right now I have a Coolpix 8700 btw. Not bad, but no D70. |

Damn Mackey I must say your shooting skills are off the fuckin hook bro:2 cents:

Nikkor Lenses...
Stick with the manufacturer.. First find a store that rents out lighting near you and make yourself comfortable with the lighting... This was the first time for me using a porftable system.... Worked out great. |
Wow! impressive quality! And only 1 grand. Looks like a steal! Digital cameras getting more and more affordable.
|
Great quality!

Thanks for the advice on renting first mackey! |
No problem...
Its always best to a get a feel for it I've rented equipment that costs 80 bucks a day, professional profoto type shit, 2 strobes, umbrellas, stands, bounces, power, etc... This little portable set up cost 25 a day. Worked just as great, just a matter of dialing into the settings you want.. http://www.mackeydesigns.com/keewee/04.jpg http://www.mackeydesigns.com/keewee/08.jpg |

it's always amazing to me that there is such a paucity of good shooters who can provide content for adult webmasters. sure any dickhead with a camera who wants to look at naked women can call himself a "photographer" but there truly is very little fresh stuff to buy. i mean maybe there's a hundred people actively shooting, and maybe 10 have any sort of unique style, or the ability to know the difference between a good shot and a throwaway shot. and then here comes a guy with an inexpensive camera, and some rental equipment, and just blows 90% of the current vendors right out of the water. a good shooter never posts a mediocre shot. this kid is good. |
i want that asss:Graucho

Your comments are greatly appreciated man... Thanks for the heads up everyone :thumbsup just makes me more determined to keep shooting and get better at it! |
Those are some good shots, I like the one with the water drops... very cool.
:thumbsup |
Photography is HOT - chick is not.
|
Since I'm not a pro, I shoot like crazy and throw most away. Count on the lucky shots. It's worked out. Often subject mater counts over quality on much of what I've done.
Do lowend mainstream work like partys at times. Lighting is always a problem as is focus time. The two are related of course. Just hard to get 'em to turn up the lights at most parties.. Models are easier in one respect cause you have more time or can retake. |
hmm˛
|
Wow awesome! I so want to get into photography, I mean real stuff because me and my camera so far have quite the rocky relationship!
Maybe someday...your skills rock and so does that girl! :thumbsup |
