How many emails do you get a day?
 

Between the free email accounts and the countless @one-of-my-own-domains.com addresses that re floating around out there AND my mainstream work email address, I think I average roughly 50 to 100 emails a day. Most of which are messages from spammers who want me to refinance the mortgage I don't even have. Heh-heh-heh...

What about all of you? How much crap do you have to wade through everytime you go to check your inboxes?

Oh, and does anyone know a good way to get off spam lists or find out what little moron is responsible for all the duplicate (useless) messages I receive each day? It'd be nice to reduce my intake of spam. I'm getting fat. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif

Usually replying to a spammer telling them you want them off your list, will only verify that your email address is used and checking, so they'll only send you more.

There are one's that legitimately remove you, they are the ones who use real email addresses, i ask once nicely, then I flood the shit out of them.

flooding their company's email addresses is basically the only thing i do.

my old hotmail account gets about 20 spam messages a day, so i no longer use it.

and i don't really use my email address to sign up for anything anymore really.

Be very careful with that flooding plan !

Many spammers route their mail through other peoples servers so that you can't track them from the header. You just might end up flooding the wrong guy http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/frown.gif

The sad thing is that spam emailing works. If it hadn't, it wouldn't be practised.

I receive 80-100 unsolicited emails a day. But my filters take care of them and dump them into the carbage can.

Flooding is also likely to be against your ISPs user policies, and the spammer might complain about *you*.

To complain, maybe use http://www.spamcop.net/

It's true, though.. email spam is just about the most effective marketing tool out there. The only real way to stop that is by making sure you don't ever do business with spammers.

I get around 100 mails a day more than 50% spam.
The last spam I recived was somebody from Italy offering me cheap Yarn ?????

Hey http://www.spamcop.net/ works 40-60% of the time(for me anyway).

I get LOTS of emails from Sexhound,I had never heard of it till I got an email from him(them?).I was under the impresion it was a small site,till now.

I have never used my real(or ISP) address for porn,only hotmail/yahoo or fake addresses.So nonporn sites are selling email adresses.I need a way,besides reporting them to get revenge....Ideas?

I get too fucking many emails, and usually it is from these insecure people that send letters or poetry that i am supposed to send back to them if "I" care about them. Or submitters wanting to know why I didnt list them... or bla bla bla... So to all those annoying emailers,,(and I say this with LOVE)
