Some of the same issues are still there with nothing in place to stop it from happening again.

There were a lot of voters that had the legal right to vote, that were turned away from the booths, because they had the same name as a convicted criminal. They were mostly black, and more than likely would have voted democrat.

And then there were those who were to STUPID to figure out which name they wanted to pick.
