a remote start/keyless entry that starts your car every 3 hours if desired, to keep the car's interior cold or warm, depending on the weather outside

you need the door lock upgrade...

rowan 07-15-2004 12:19 PM

Maybe I'm in the wrong area of the world, but around here it only takes a few minutes for the A/C to cool the car, and about the same to start heating. Why can't you just remote start it 5 minutes before you get in?

Wouldn't auto-starting the engine every 3 hours "just in case" result in more wear and tear?

shit i would love for it to only take a few minutes for the A/C to cool the car, it takes a while, no matter what kind of car, and unless you have dark ass tint to block the sun, you'll have to leave the air on full power for the whole ride

Fucksakes 07-15-2004 12:32 PM

um have you guys not ever seen a remote car starter?

but you drive around in 150,000 dollar cars. yeah ok.

if your car was started, as soon as you get into the car and touch anything. "no keys" it will shut off.

Chris 07-15-2004 12:33 PM

the remote starters only work on automatics right? I heard people trying to install them on a manual but i hear it is really really really hard and can fuck shit up quck

MaDalton 07-15-2004 01:24 PM

shit like this is only possible in the US, the land of the brave, the free and the cheap gas. environment - well shit we have enough of that. oil? grows on trees - we don't need to take care of that. oh my fucking god... :helpme

wvuatl 07-15-2004 03:24 PM

I had one of those installed on my Dad's car for Christmas one year... he didn't know the card had it until Christmas morning... probably the coolest gift I've given anyone. He loved it.

Firehorse 07-15-2004 09:54 PM

I want one! :)

riosluts 07-15-2004 09:57 PM

i am pretty sure almost every decent car starter out there has a timer feature. To start every 3-4 hours, run for a few minuts and shutdown.

exactly. Bunch of pussies anyway. In 100 years their children will hate them for that.

iwantchixx 07-15-2004 10:18 PM

my honda civic comes with that feature...

Dagwolf 07-15-2004 10:20 PM

:eek7 I can't believe I read this whole thing...

iwantchixx 07-15-2004 10:22 PM

you girlies realize that almost every modern starter has this feature right? Read the manual to any that you have now and you'll prolly find it. It's usualy a combo button press that activates it. I think mine is the engine "off" and "lock" buttons.
