I usually only do burgers, hot dogs, sausages, and salmon... but Im lookin to do something different this weekend, so i wanna check out what you guys like to make - and how :P
and post pics if ya got! heres one of my salmon back in the dayy http://unknownorigin.com/images/salmon2.jpg nothing special, i just drown it in teriyaki mandarin orange sesame ginger sauce and let the flames hit it.... i used to always lose the skin but now i dont fuck it up anymore :P |
8-10 oz. dried yuba
(bean curd sheets, found in Chinese groceries) [I use yuba sticks instead of sheets] 1/4 c. nutritional yeast flakes 1/4 c. smooth peanut butter (or other nut butter) [I've tried this with peanut butter and with tahini, and definitely prefer peanut butter] 2 T. dark miso 1 T. melted margarine 1 T. water [I use a lot more water, so that the mixture is more the consistancy of a gravy than a paste] 2 t. paprika 2 c. BBQ sauce (Ron Pickarski's sauce from _Eco-Cuisine_ is to die for) |
I just had some lamb kabobs on the bbq, to late to take a pic.

If you want the best steak that you will ever have try the following..
Choose a great cut.. Take a knife and make a few slices on each side. Not too deep.. Get Mortons Kosher salt. Sprinkle on each side about 5 minutes before you put them on the grill... Turn the grill on low, and place a metal pan of water above the flames, but under where you place the steaks. After about 10 0r 15 minutes, turn the grill to high. Check for the color you want, and serve... |
