Are you serious? E machines? Go with one of the best laptop companies. I have a 17'' Toshiba. I've seen lots of webmasters use them in here. :)

It's only 15.4 inches, but I just bought the Dell 8600. Personally, I'm not impressed by the wide screen - I wish I had bought a smaller one :(

totally serious, they ARE now one of the best...they got top rating by pcworld this past year for that notebook

read the reviews on the first one after they re-invented themselves

they have more brand name components in this one I am typing on than dell wishes they had....every single component has a brand name attached to it

Just get yourself an Apple and make it easy on yourself.

EZRhino 07-14-2004 10:10 PM

Dude ..... you need to get a Dell

Jim_Gunn 07-14-2004 10:43 PM

I use a Dell Inspiron 8600 with a 1.7 Ghz Pentium M chip and a 15.4 inch screen WUXGA display. I like it a lot, especially since I can attach it to the docking station at my office. It has great battery life, handy media controls and a nice screen. And it is powerful enough to use as a second editing and encoding workstation also.

This is my main computer. She is sexy but she is kinda heavy and sometimes loud.
http://www.hp.ca/products/static/pre...Image_0001.jpgAs long as you don't have to lug her through airports often definitely pick up one of her sisters.
