TGP owners (some) act like fascists
 

Now that I got your attention heres my real point,

Ok now if gallery submitters used the same rules to builid their galleries as the very TGPs they submit to here's what youd get;

1. A surfer would click on three thumbs on the gallery and the fourth thumb would blind link them to a traffic trade partner due to the skim set by the gallery maker.

2. There would be numerous banners and ads to sponsors on the gallery not just the usual permitted two outgoing links.


But that would never happen because large TGPs despite the fact that they use the labor and bandwidth of gallery submitters make rules that restrict the ways a gallery submitter can earn money while at the same time themselves using CJ scripts to blind link the surfer to trade partners among other things.

But gallery submitters go hat in hand begging for partner accounts and listings even paying for spots.

What's my point? TGPs who make such rules for gallery submitters should stop using CJ scripts and build quality sites with hard link trades to trade partners instead. The cj scripts build tons of traffic but its traffic made up of surfers that have been tricked into visiting a site and that can't be very productive for anyone.

Lots of small webmasters out ther employ tricks with redirects and scripts to try to make more money off tgps and I think one reason they cheat or try to is because of how hard the Tgps make it to make a good living anymore. There are a 100 times more tgps as there were five years ago when a guy could make a great living off submitting galleries and surfers are more savy today. Webmasters should stop cheating and Tgp prima donnas should stop cheating surfers with CJ scripts and stop restricting webmasters earnings with stupid rules.

don't submit to cj type tgp's. without the script and skimming they wouldn't have half their traffic.

Being provided with free traffic from site owners is a gift. The fact is that is a TGP wanted to as many do, they can use ALL sponser hosted galleries, thus using only bandwidth to load the main TGP page. The TGP model is based on give and take TGP owners give up spots to provide fresh content, while gallery makers have to adhere to certain rules.

I don't see any problems with any of these practices. Without generated traffic, the gallery submitters would have far less to work with. Granted there is an oversaturation point, those who have been in the biz long enough can still make a great living.

fresh galleries that aren't oversaturated keep people coming back. its not that tgp owners are doing something nice for the webmasters.

Seriously, most submitters cannot even imagine the type of bullshit a site owner has to go through to review galleries, and keep the site free of cheating scumbags. Those same scumbags, by the way, are the main reason for a lot of theses rules you speak of, and to say that they are cheating to retalliate in some way to the strict rules is a joke. Like Bake said, you don't have to submit.

2-3 Years ago TGP owners needed submitters, nowadays, it's the other way around, in my opinion.

Tgp Owners have a hard job true enough just like everything else in the industry nothing is easy. But saying their giving webmasters spots for galleris is a "gift" is a streach really. Webmasters have to spend their hard earned money buying fresh content, then building galleries, following the varried and numerous rules and submitting and then paying more money for bandwidth all the squeak out a margin of profit on high volume traffic.

Yes you the owner can make whatever rules you want , run it however you like and nobody is forced to submit thats obvious and really doesn't need saying.

My main point is CJ script use reduces traffic quality and conversions and if you don't want submitters redirecting surfers with blind links like "Enter Here" or "Next Pic" then why do you do it yourself with traffic skimming scripts?

The only answer to that is that you do it because you can. Thats never been a really good reason for to do most things. I say do away with the deceptive practice of CJ skimming and use hard link trades with other quality sites. Yes you will at first have less traffic but it will convert better and webmasters will compete to get listed on your site not because you have tons of traffic but because you have quality traffic. Everyone will make more money.

Ask anyone what type of traffic you'd rather have, 10,000 hits from a CJ skim type Tgp or 1000 hits from a quality link list site like GreenGuys or Richards Realm where the surfer knows they aren't getting jacked around?

Look you're welcome to disagree I don't care really I don't take it personally. If you like CJ scripts thats your call just like it's mine not to. For me I'll take quality traffic and doing trades with sites that don't decieve surfers anyday over the alternative.
