Remember Bush in His Own Words :)

And what speeches or words will today's children recall? What words will they have to remember of Vice President Cheney or our current President? Mr.Cheney has no problem using vulgarities when speaking to a Senator. From various speeches of President Bush, besides, "Wanted Dead or Alive, Bring Them On, and Those Not With Us Are Against Us", we have the following from various press conferences and speeches:

"As you know, these are open forums, you're able to come and listen to what I have to say. Look, our strategy is to create chaos, to create a vacuum. We will export death and violence to the four corners of the earth in defense of our great nation. But as a result of evil, there are some amazing things that are taking place in America. You can fool some of the people all of the time and those are the ones you want to concentrate on. This is a regime that has something to hide from the civilized world. I will seize the opportunity to achieve big goals and we will export death and violence to the four corners of the earth in defense of this great country and rid the world of evil."

"GOD told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem of the Middle East. I'm the commander; I do not need to explain why I say things. That's the interesting thing about being the President. Maybe somebody needs to explain to me why they say something, but I don't feel like I own anybody an explanation. There will be no more protests if body bags return home. You don't get everything you want. A DICTATORSHIP would be a lot easier. If this were a DICTATORSHIP, it would be a heck of a lot easier. A DICTARTORSHIP would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the DICTATOR."

"What's all this whining about the environment? They're always talking about "stop the clear cuts". I mean do the math people. If we were out of trees then we wouldn't have any clear cuts to be complaining about now would we? You f---ing son of a bitch. I saw what you wrote. We're not going to forget this."

Obviously not all from the same speech and some "out of context". From a commentary at Rense.

WHAT?

He actually said that? What makes him any different from Saddam after reading that?

Imagine our surprise Wednesday to read in the Israeli paper Haaretz (online), that Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Abu Mazen, meeting recently with militants to enlist their support for a truce with Israel, said that, when they met in Aqaba, President Bush had told him this: " God told me to strike at al Qaeda and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam [ Hussein], which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them."

One of the many curious things President George W. Bush is quoted as saying, this time in Bob Woodward's book, "Bush at War," is that U.S. strategy in Afghanistan "is to create chaos, to create a vacuum." Out of the chaos and vacuum, good would come. This echoes the Trotskyist belief in the constructive effect of "permanent revolution."

you should team up with michael moore as the moronic duo who are great at (a) using the most unreliable sources possible and (b) taking things entirely out of context.

I dont understand how anyone can make that argument. Half of Michael Moore's movie was direct footage of Bush or one of his people talking directly. It's not like anyone's going around saying 'Larry' was in a washroom stall and bush was in the next stall over and was talking on his cell about his foreign policy.

Are people guilty of digging up clips and footage of bush at his worst moments... YES. But it's not like everyone is obsessing on one clip where he slipped up and said something dumb, its an endless sherade of idiotic comments he's made. Name one other president, fuck that, name any other current politcal leader who has fucked up and said so many inane things. thanks.

Presidents 1 - 49 would be great examples of people who said stupid things from time to time.

Especially 'i did not have sex with that woman' ... now thats the dumbest thing any president has said on oath.

Furthermore, if you took bush's comments in context theyre not as dumb as they seem pieced together and with dramatic music in the background. Not to mention that he cuts and joins them to make them appear in parts as one clip when they are several different clips.
