video screen capture
what program do you use to capture decent quality images from vids...I bought Snatch It, but its not giving the quality I want

i use analog x capture
i play the video at maximized window, capture it, then resize it down to the smaller size I need |

True, the new version does not. I have the older version that does that someone sent me but was afraid to open it. It was in a .ace file whatever the fuck that is. (associated with my zip utility) I'm sure someone around here has an old version.

I like virtual dub, but like everything else, you have to take a gazillion screen caps in order to get a fairly decent amount of good ones.

i haven't seen a tool that produces decent quality screen captures
i have to use photoshop and play with the brightness/contrast and make it sharper takes some time if you have to do alot, but the result is worth it for me |
Mediacruise by Canopus takes the best screen captures in any video format, unfortunately it only comes bundled with DVstorm2 or other Canopus products. The only place I seen where you can download a version is the companies Japanesse site, no idea if the program is also in the same language.
