Terrorists perhaps going to try and disrupt the US presidential election?

Why the hell would they do that?

This is their chance to see Bush (their biggest enemy) out of power, all they have to do is nothing. Kerry has a great chance to win and if they fuck with things that might fuck things up for them.

Am I wrong?

:uhoh

dodint 07-13-2004 02:23 AM

I could see this as being the way Bush wins this time around.

"Oops, the Terrorist fucked it up. I win by default."

Sounds alot like,

"Oops, Jeb fucked it up. I win."

boobmaster 07-13-2004 02:25 AM

They don't want Kerry in office either. What they want is a world ruled by a taliban style government. They want to convert everyone to Islam. Those that don't convert will get their heads chopped off.

Where did you read that and why do you belive what you've read?

I read another thread few hours ago that basically said that because of that 'threat' Bush administration is going to cancel the elections in November...

So any reason for Bush to stay longer in power is good for the current administration...

Not that I believe this, but could it be done outside of Martial Law?

Bin Laden's dream was to get a western nation to invade and occupy a country in the ME. And heck recruiting for Al-Qaeda is doing great. What's Kerry gonna do for Al-Qaeda? Why would Al-Qaeda take the risk of getting someone they don't know? Besides, Bush poor judgement, leadership and speaking skills gets him into making weak alliances.

Bush re-elected would further their goals. The world's hatred for the US would grow and grow. There is no doubt, they want Bush re-elected here in the US and they want all European countries to be controlled by so called "anti-bush" governments so the US is forced to face them alone.

Rich 07-14-2004 01:25 PM

You're wrong, Bush is anything but the enemy of the terrorists. He did exactly what they wanted after 9/11, attacked an uninvolved muslim nation and made a huge mess out of it. Terrorist recruitment is at an all time high. These guys don't want to take over the USA, they don't give a shit about your "freedom" or McDonalds, they want to change the middle east and for that they need armies.

The Bush admin is playing up the idea of an attack to effect the election, period. Can't you guys see this by watching them all repeat the same shit day after day? Every Bush spokesperson and right wing pundit says the exact same shit. They imply that terrorists want Kerry to win. It's a fucking joke.

Now they're trying to get the power to put the election on hold, even though the federal government has no authority regarding elections. Imagine November rolls around, Bush will still be down 6 points, and all of a sudden there will be a code red and the elections will have to be put on hold because of a threat. Then he wheels out a couple brownies from gitmo and says he stopped an attack, boom he screws the people once again. I would have thought that theory was far fetched until reading this week's Newsweek.

No, but they're trying.

Basically a guy appointed by Bush to head a department Bush invented, the "U.S. Election Assistance Commission", wants the ability to cancel the federal election.

and to add....wasnt bush the one who stated, using the power of that almighty mouth of his, that we would never give in to terrorists and their scare tactics? no terrorist or group of terrorists would put the lives of american's on hold.

yeah i do believe for a fact he said that and yet the election should be delayed and the constitution once again played with.

what a fucking idiot.

Or, worse yet, a spectacular attack would make America go running back to Bush because he's the "war president." If a lot of Americans die again like in '01 the world won't see peace for many years. :( :2 cents: :warning

Why the hell you think they going to try and disrupt ?
do you think they can think at all ?
Are you sure they know the word disrupt ?
are you sure they know it is a 15 July 2004 ?
I'm sure you saw them only in the CNN news on TV :) lol

first time i saw them it was 1985 and believe me they are
just poor muslims with Ak-47 - that's all - nothing else.
Osama - is a bastartdo who knows what he does and few
arabs like him - not more.
So, when US says it's impossible to catch Osama - it's pure bullshit for me, cause it's possible - it's just depends on $$$
spent for informers - muslims are greedy.

it's a first time I post my thoughts about this , but you - Americans feel you can handle all without Europe -you forgot
from where your legs grow.
