Postponing the election? Is this for real?
WTF? :eek7 :feels-hot
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2004Jul12.html Homeland Security Requests Election Review By Fred Barbash Washington Post Staff Writer Monday, July 12, 2004; 4:36 PM The Homeland Security Department said today it has informally asked the Justice Department to review the legal issues involved in possibly postponing the presidential election if it risked being disrupted by terrorism. The idea was initially suggested last week by DeForest B. Soaries, Jr., chairman of the U.S. Election Commission, a relatively obscure agency created by Congress in 2002 to help localities improve their voting systems. |
hmm...can they do that?

Nothing in the Constitution that provides for postponement..
Each state has it's own voting agenda, so some national "sump'm nuther" would have to be done by Congress.. Bet Bush would sure love that one.. |
Bush is going to do everything he can to stay in power. He is an evil, evil man with tons of other motives. If they don't let this happen something big will go down. Watch.

If you people would read more than just the headlines you would have a better understanding of what's going on.
But then I guess that would take all of the fun out of being a tinfoil hat wearing alarmist wouldn't it. |
Condy Rice said today in an interview with blitzer that "we dont know where that comes from".
Apparently the right hand (extends left hand) doesnt know what the left hand (extends right hand) is doing on this one. Bizarre that such a high level official doesnt know where a report like that comes from at least 2 days after the report came out. According to her, we shouldnt give a single thought to a postponed election. :anon |
What if this happen's they have the election kerry wins the same day terrorism hits or when he get's in to office the same day they get us?
|
the Bush administration is going to do everything it can to scare the shit out of the American people, so we think we're in danger of being blown to bits...
...so he can stay in power. |
weird
i wonder how they propose to do that |
they fear the ghost of terrorism!!..suckers!!!:BangBang:

'Officially' the person that proposed this idea is DeForest B. Soaries Jr., chairman of the newly created U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Bush appointed this man two years ago (surprise). He is a Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, New Jersey. Don't think the Christian right is trying to take over the country? Think again.

Children...... The US Government has a plan in place for every possible thing that could happen. We have a plan to invade Canada in case it's ever needed. Yes, of course they asked for a plan in the event of an emergency, because there needs to be a plan in place - "just in case".
I thought elections were suspended during WWII.... |
BURN CHURCHES INSTEAD OF VOTING

Voting is controlled by the individual states. This under States Rights. If 9-11 level attack were to occur again, it wouldn't be strong enough to stop the election in my opinion. The Bush Administration is trying to scare you into their arms. Daddy government can save you! Nigga, please. |

Keep defending Nazi boy Bush and see where it gets us. Remember, Hitler was in power for 6 years before invading a country, Bush has been in power less than 4 years and already has invaded 2 countries. |
Why not? they postponed the result before??:glugglug
