Did you see Fahrenheit 9/11 ? What was the most Shocking part to you ?
 

So I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 this weekend. All the info was a bit overwhelming and i would really like to see it again and take notes to fully digest it.

I guess the most Shocking parts to me was that Bush Let Bin Ladens Family fly out soon after 9-11. That made no sense to me or the former FBI Agent interviewed.

Also, the fact that Bush Blacked out parts of His Millitary Record seemed very deceptive.

Before seeing this movie i really thought Bush had some valid reasons for going to war but now i just don't trust him.

What do you think ?

I don't know about most SHOCKING since I'd already heard about the stuff you mentioned, but hearing that Bush was on vacation 42% of the time in the months leading up to 9/11 was just disgusting to me. Also watching him in that classroom and getting the news of the planes hitting the towers and just sitting there like the fucking moron he is really disturbed me too. I also wanted to claw his eyes out when he was addressing his "base" as the haves . . . and the have mores (insert jolly pretentious shameless laughter).

Yeah Bush being on Vacation didn't look good especially when they showed that the Reports on Bin Laden were delivered to him while on Vacation.

Bush sitting there for several minutes didn't look good but at the same time i think he was just trying to compose himself and figure out what the fuck to do.

Farenheit 9/11 seems so unfocused. Moore just got mad that Bush told him to get a real job; this is his way of getting revenge.

Although I'm not against people being critical of leaders (actually I think that's very important), I am against using misleading facts and editting techniques to try and get people in a frenzy.

I partly agree - I think the most shocking part is that people are paying money for what is considered to be common knowledge in most parts of the world. The way the US media pretends to be telling the truth is very interesting.

there was many shocking aspects of the movie. I was so upset after seeing the movie that i had to take out my anger on my drum kit,needless to say i rocked out with my cock out.

I did see the movie and was very impressed on his ability to manipulate and control the audience. I don't agree with his views 100% but it was very interesting to watch. He is a master of manipulation and divulging only what information he has to harm. Obviously if you were followed around with a camera for 4 years you would probably say some stupid shit, or something that someone can take and misconstrue into some sort of clip. All those clips spliced together really did make Bush look like a complete moron, but you have to understand the circumstances and how they are spliced together. You really have to walk into that movie knowing that someone is going to try and brain wash you.

I went with my girlfriend and her airhead college friends and they all bit, hook line and sinker. Its unbelievable. They all said they were going to vote against bush now because of the 2 hour "Movie" they just watched.

Agreed. Shocking how some watch a movie and believe, "yep this is 100% the truth" without investigating if it is really true or not. Now should everyone have or will do this? There are some funny parts, but most of it isnt..... Watching a mother read her dead sons war letters, or watching soldiers get messed up in Iraq, that styuff isnt very funny.... The only time people laugh is when it shows Bush looking like a fool.

i left the theater infuriated and feeling a little sick.... How about the 'reasons' M.M. said the Afghan war was about a proposed pipeline deal with Uncoal, Moore mentions that the Taliban visited Texas while Bush was governor, over a possible pipeline deal with Unocal, the deal went bust in 1998 and had been supported by the Clinton administration.

So if this movie is 100% factual, why was it so easy to point out one falsehood.

I both downloaded a copy of the movie, and went thru the transcript of the movie

I also owned bowling, until i found out all the deliberate misreprentations that were made in that movie.

I don't think Michael Moore's methods are angelic or genius . . . but I appreciate the perspective and the entertainment -- you're right -- it's a MOVIE and no one would want to watch it if it weren't entertaining. Well, I for one know a number of people that dont care much more about life then being able to pay for their cigarettes and beer for the day. If everyone in America was educated with at least a college degree then this film wouldnt even be realesed. But thats simply not the truth. I bet more then just a few will watch this film and think 100% of it is the truth.

But lets take a gander at the other side of the ball. If someone made a "documentary" about your job. And used clever editing to make you look dishonest and incomptent.
