Did you see Fahrenheit 9/11 ? What was the most Shocking part to you ?
So I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 this weekend. All the info was a bit overwhelming and i would really like to see it again and take notes to fully digest it.
I guess the most Shocking parts to me was that Bush Let Bin Ladens Family fly out soon after 9-11. That made no sense to me or the former FBI Agent interviewed. Also, the fact that Bush Blacked out parts of His Millitary Record seemed very deceptive. Before seeing this movie i really thought Bush had some valid reasons for going to war but now i just don't trust him. What do you think ? |
I don't know about most SHOCKING since I'd already heard about the stuff you mentioned, but hearing that Bush was on vacation 42% of the time in the months leading up to 9/11 was just disgusting to me. Also watching him in that classroom and getting the news of the planes hitting the towers and just sitting there like the fucking moron he is really disturbed me too. I also wanted to claw his eyes out when he was addressing his "base" as the haves . . . and the have mores (insert jolly pretentious shameless laughter).

Amazing Documentary!!!!
Michael Moore rocks!!! He should be president :-) The most shocking part was the receipt for all those private jets Bush hired to get all the Bin Laden families and friends out of the US....right after the attacks... |
the most shocking thing is that people actually buy into Michael Moores brand of reporting...
He's the Rush for the left, they're both blinded by hatred and/or stupidity. |

Bush sitting there for several minutes didn't look good but at the same time i think he was just trying to compose himself and figure out what the fuck to do. I don't remember the "haves" and "have nots" Must of been getting popcorn. Refresh my Memory. By the way i wouldn't be surpirsed if Bush magically finds Bin Laden Right before Election time. IF i were Bush i wouldn;t want to be president anymore :2 cents: |
The most shocking thing about this movie is why anyone would pay to see it.
|
I'm gonna have to agree with "Truth", Michael Moore's movies tend to be quite biased and sneaky.
For those of you who saw Bowling for Columbine, this will be an interesting read for you: http://www.hardylaw.net/Truth_About_Bowling.html Farenheit 9/11 seems so unfocused. Moore just got mad that Bush told him to get a real job; this is his way of getting revenge. Although I'm not against people being critical of leaders (actually I think that's very important), I am against using misleading facts and editting techniques to try and get people in a frenzy. |
the most shocking part is where bush tossed out like 30k votes at a time...and there members of congress went before all gore adn the like to try and get the votes counted
no one would back them up...lol Bush is a thief..he knew he had to get rid of the black vote or else he would never even be close. say what you will...but that boy needs to be brought down |

Rice said "Oh, indeed there is a tie between Iraq and what happened on 9/11. It?s not that Saddam Hussein was somehow himself and his regime involved in 9/11, but, if you think about what caused 9/11, it is the rise of ideologies of hatred that lead people to drive airplanes into buildings in New York.? Moore deliberate cut out most of her statement clipping her statement so she only said "?Oh, indeed there is a tie between Iraq and what happened on 9/11. " to give the false impression that Condoleezza Rice was lying about the connection between iraq and 9/11 instead of the exact opposite statement. I think the current count of these types of propoganda type editing jobs is like 200+ currently |
The Pentagon announced last week that Bush's military records were inadvertently destroyed.
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh If that doesn't say it all, I don't know what else does. |

there was many shocking aspects of the movie. I was so upset after seeing the movie that i had to take out my anger on my drum kit, needless to say i rocked out with my cock out.
MM is pure genius! |
it was interesting movie... i dont care for Bush and Kerry, however i think that if there is a director out there who loves Bush then he can come up with a movie that tell all the good stuff then i think we would all love him.... just an opinion:2 cents:

I did see the movie and was very impressed on his ability to manipulate and control the audience. I don't agree with his views 100% but it was very interesting to watch. He is a master of manipulation and divulging only what information he has to harm. Obviously if you were followed around with a camera for 4 years you would probably say some stupid shit, or something that someone can take and misconstrue into some sort of clip. All those clips spliced together really did make Bush look like a complete moron, but you have to understand the circumstances and how they are spliced together. You really have to walk into that movie knowing that someone is going to try and brain wash you. I went with my girlfriend and her airhead college friends and they all bit, hook line and sinker. Its unbelievable. They all said they were going to vote against bush now because of the 2 hour "Movie" they just watched. My heart goes out to the families he violated to prove his point. |

i left the theater infuriated and feeling a little sick.... I already have done my own research on the topics, and i'm not one to swallow everything that is told to me... but many of the things I saw on the screen confirmed the beliefes I already had. And my beliefes are that we are witnessing the final days of Democracy and Freedom. our founding fathers are rolling in their graves as we speak. If you believe in democracy, and you dislike the things happening in our country, watch: ORWELL ROLLS IN HIS GRAVE it's an amazing documentary... The peopel who speak are all very creditable people, and they have some amazing things to say about the corporate/media/money epidemic that si taking place in America's government. |

Lmao and moore is the one labeled as "deceitful" God Bless America |
I can't believe people still support the Bush administration in this thread.
Man you guys are in such denial. |

How about the 'reasons' M.M. said the Afghan war was about a proposed pipeline deal with Uncoal, Moore mentions that the Taliban visited Texas while Bush was governor, over a possible pipeline deal with Unocal, the deal went bust in 1998 and had been supported by the Clinton administration. So if this movie is 100% factual, why was it so easy to point out one falsehood. |

I also owned bowling, until i found out all the deliberate misreprentations that were made in that movie. |

Best part is the timing also, perfect wasnt it? MM has a copy of it and many americans got to see it because of him. Now obviously the records he obtained and the ones the bush admin showed were slightly different. Now are you going to tell me that MM altered his copy to make bush admin look stupid when they finally after alot of controversy let his records out? Better yet, not as a republican or democrat. How about just some regular joe average....in your heart of hearts do you actually beleive he served? |

For the people that don't know. Its been proven over and over that Michael Moore is dishonest in the way he edits his "documentary's". Why would you believe a liar calling another person a liar? Do your own research in the matter. If Bush going to war is about money for himself and his buddies. Don't you think there is a better way to make money silently? Do you really think Bush is an evil person trying to fuck over everyone but himself and his buddies? If so you people need some head checks or at least learn how to read and listen. |

Can you think of a better way to make money than he has? Because for the life of me, I think him & Cheney both are probably cleaning fucking house right now. |

Whats most shocking is that the people on the right side of the political fence think that everybody who see's the movie believes Moore is a god or something. As if once exposed to the documentary, their power to think for themselves vanishes.
It's just a movie, and it's opinion. Think for yourselves, let others think for themselves, and let the chips fall where they may. The Bush camp says theres more facts in Shrek 2. And they also say that if they want to see a piece of fiction, they'll go see Shrek 2. Umm.. wait a minute :1orglaugh |

As far as him "violating" the families . . . please. I'm sure they were well paid which is more than can be said for the soldiers in Iraq. |
Quote:
But lets take a gander at the other side of the ball. If someone made a "documentary" about your job. And used clever editing to make you look dishonest and incomptent. How would that go over with you? This isnt to say there would be no truth to the matter because im sure you have done things that werent entirely honest and or the smartest things. Just like everyone else. If you cant see it already the problem lies in exaggerating situations and inserting biased information on a much more complex situation. |

But anyways, I dont know about you, but i abadoned my daily activities to sit transfixed in front of the tube to see whats going on... I think it's only normal. To expect differnent is rediculus. |
