depends on the place, and the house atitude as a whole in genral....

when i was going to school there was this one bar people all went to..the bouncers were such pricks. they used to take cheap shots at people all the time...take them around back that sort of thing.


happened to me once as well...but they never got me out back

anyway...i never knew the guy, but it was plastered everywhere as a reminder.

they were throwing him out, and beating the piss out of him..apprently he was screaming for them to stop...his dad was a judge in town he was telling them...i guess they never believed him...they tossed him down about 25 stairs or so.

funny thing is..all the bouncers were fired the very next day...every single one of them

I used to be a bar bouncer, then bodyguard for strippers. Crazy times... glad my life took a diferent turn. I got in some pretty hairy situations and survived. Guess I was lucky.

I bounced for roughly 10 yrs on and off. Most bouncers they hire have a chip on their shoulder and they forget or arent told these are customers who pay your salary. I never had problems with customers because I was always nice. I would smile and shake peoples hands like they were guests in my house. Something got stupid I came in , rarely it went to blows because they would remember oh yeah hes the nice guy at the door. Also when you are smiling and its going no where and you do have to hit ,they never see it coming because you have a big old smile on your face as you are kneeing him in the balls. Never hit anyone in the face if you have to deal with something quickly , you never know the outcome. Some will fall ,some will just be more pissed off and just enough pain to make them respectful. Also most shit can be stopped if you get people cut off before they are in full asshole mode. 10 yrs and had 4 fights , I am pretty proud of that :) It also helped I was always stone cold sober.
