How long does it take everyone?
 

just curious, How long does it take everyone to build an average tgp gallery and submit it, thats from selecting the pics, cloning 20 pages, uploading it and submitting it?

It takes me on average 1.5 hours.

just wondered how much time others put into a tgp gallery.

It could be that, I will be more specific:

Selecting 20 pics : 1 minute
Creating thumbs: 10 sec
Small changes to template page + cloning: 3 minutes
Uploading: 10 minutes (56k http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/frown.gif )

Submitting to TGPs : 30 seconds each

So the total time mainly depends on how many TGPs do you submit to.

I usually dont spend mor than one hour per day, the rest I waste on boards http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif

It takes me about 1-3 minutes to choose the pics, 2-5 minutes to ftp them to the server, depending on the traffic load (less=faster more traffic=slower)

It takes 0.03 seconds for my script to build all my galleries on my server, then it takes me about 25-35 minutes to hand submit everything

1.5 hours is pretty good, if you are manually doing everything

One suggestion for those of you doing them manually... try and select 5-7 days worth of pics and build a number of days galleries at a time... you will find it is a bit faster doing an "assembly line" type of gallery building

Yea, I submit everything by hand, but I don't use a script to build with, I use premade templates and do a batch search and replace using xreplace, that too only takes a couple of seconds to do all the colning.
Do you use your own scripts or are they premade ones? I'm hopeless with pearl...

Yeah I actually made my own, I think most of the other ones are together with an auto submit type of program, and I know that a lot of tgp's don't like them.

It took me about 3 weeks to learn enough perl to do this. The most challenging part was dealing with the form handling.

The upside, is that once you have learned, you can use the same basic script to build lots of other cool stuff

About 5'11" in my Y-Fronts, but I've some cute high heals that make me shorter
