your feelings on adderall

i was never put on anything in my life before this. i think too much, too many things going on, impossible to get anything done. i tried it before work the other day and it was helpful, but i felt bad for using it.

makes whatever you're doing seem like the most interesting thing in the world.

FuckFind 07-11-2004 08:35 PM

adderall is the greatest drug ever perscribed.

If everyone on GFY took it daily the world's GDP would double.

i believe it.

but most adult webmasters i know are pretty paranoid to begin with, i'm not thinking they want the added consequence of prolonged adderall usage

You sound very normal to me, bro. We just live in a sick society. But, if it helps you get through the working day then I guess its all right.

adderal is great, but you do have to be somewhat careful on it.

Last semester at school, i was taking 18 credits of school (entrepreneurship/mis/finance triple major) .... of which were graduate level capsim courses which put a full 40-60 hours on my plate

and

managed a 30-40 hours design work schedule.

---probably took adderal 1-2 times a week for those "i'm screwed theres not enough time" occurances, but oneee week, i slammed 6, and i thought my fuckin heart was going to beat right out of my chest by saturday..

have had 2 since then, bout 3 months ago.

it's literally debilitating. my business partner was my best friend growing up and kept me in line somehow, but he's been gone for a couple months trying to save his marriage, leaving me with all our shit to handle.

if i ever *need* it to get through a day, i'm just going to buy a trailer and retire.

so there you go...you just have a lot of stress on your hands...stress is always debilitating and change can be disorienting.

creegan 07-11-2004 09:01 PM

eastern seaboard... ny?

jennym 07-11-2004 09:03 PM

If you ever take a piss test, it will show up as meth.

creegan 07-11-2004 09:05 PM

if they are testing specifically for methamphetamines, yeah. but for me, that's a non issue for a few reasons.

what I really remember is rousse point...that's up right next to canada in ny...just remember it since it was so cold and really a trip with the ice fishers and the frozen lake

Goatse 07-11-2004 09:28 PM

Half the kids at Harvard are on Adderall or Ritalin. From what I can gather, it's like speed without the stigma.

brrr.

moved a little closer to the equator.

you've got some cool scripts on your site. i was playing with google api and overture a couple months ago and made one that generates content for keywords on the fly. 60 pages per minute, would be better if not for the 1k limit.

ah!!! a fellow keyword page generator programmer
:thumbsup

...oh, I forget why I put those limits on...probably just worried that people would take advantage. but no one ever does.

the overture script is very easy. the google script made me pull my hair out when I was writing it, but I am sure it is simple too

creegan 07-11-2004 10:01 PM

google was a bitch for me too. it would just break and i'd have to try something new, now everything is pretty failsafe. complete automation. enter a category, and start generating. the 1k is the google api limit, not yours. that of course is easily fixed by having a nice little db of api's :)

I think if you think of things like ADD or Ritalin, and then think critically of our society, I would imagine all this is a normal reaction to the state of bombardment we experience daily.

But, you know, thinking critically doesn't make things easier to experience. I just feel it is a normal reaction to the world.

ahhh...oh, I get you on the 1k limit. one little trick with google is to close the socket after the xml came through...well, at least a few months ago it would hang if you didn't.

hey man, you should send me all your scripts :glugglug :thumbsup

herbal logic 07-11-2004 10:04 PM

just ordered some. sounds fun

XxShiznaughtxX 07-11-2004 10:17 PM

aderall is nice, makes you wanna do stuff. ive tried all those drugs, ritalin, aderall, dexa soemthing. my problem with all of them is they dry my mouth out and just dehydrate your body. and they also block appetite, so when the effect wears away, you're like ahhh shit, mad hunger pains.

i think there is a reason why your body isn't as stimulate as when you take these drugs.... you body can't sustain it for very long :2 cents:
