UPS Failure
 

GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!

I just lost over an hours work because I was a stupid fucktard and didn't save the files I was working in and we had a tiny tiny NOTHING of a power loss - I mean the lights barely flickered - and my FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT UPS just gave up the ghost without even staying lit for a millisecond.


It went like this:
1) me working happily, almost done
2) lights blink - "what was that?" - UPS beeps once
3) dell boot-up screen shows up
4) NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5) Office Space scene of me literally throwing the ups across the room smashing it into the floor and stomping on it until it is a bent up piece of scrap.

I immediately went to see what my auto-save configs were and it turns out (for M$ products) You have to install a special module from the fucking CD just to have a scheduled save! i can't believe the idiocy.

SO i have it on 2 minutes now.

how old is your UPS? Might be time for a fresh battery or a whole new unit.

Every couple of months I yank the plug on my UPS to test the bitch out.
