Does Spamming in Chat/Emails Work?
 

Does spamming in emails,message boards and chat work?? And isnt that illegal? LOL Not sure on the laws for 'spamming'.

It does work, is not legal and i don't recommend it , sponsors arent stupid and they will find out

Also, your ISP won't like it and may possibly pull the plug. Email spamming is a big no-no, and I've seen several msg boards (e.g. at Bianca) that report severe cases of spamming. In chats you'll most likely get banned very quickly. I've even heard of spammers getting nuked in IRC chats (the operators can see your full IP address).

Best legal solution, I think, is to promote your sites via opt-in email.

BTW, what you can do is chat with someone and then mention that you are making adult websites, get them exited and you have a costumer 4 live...

this takes a lot of time though, but i once talked to someone who only does this to promote her websites, she was chating on aol or something and also asked people to add her link to their profiles, this way she generated around 10k a day!

But then people started getting jalous and made fake spam messages on chat boards and she got blacklisted by her main sponsor : teenmail...

I dont know what happened after that though

Email spamming is soon going to be illegal. Chat spamming and the like are still legal and most likely will stay that way. It is a bad business practice though, and most sponsors do not allow this.

with illegal i ment that sponsors will kick you out of there programs if they find out, you are right it is not illegal by law, though you can get sued for doing it on large scale...

A good thing to do if you would like to send out emails is to start your own opt-in email list. Then you can email those people to your hearts content. All sponsors allow you to use opt -in email lists.

Babagirls, I used to spam for my site on yahoo message boards, because simply everyone else was, and I didnt know it was not nice to do...Opps, but I gained alot of traffic, but the downfall is those guys are bandwith eaters, and they dont sign up for shit! They are on the free clubs, message boards, chatrooms, because they are slobs that want it for free and they are rude, I went back to the one I spammed and they rode my message down the board saying Dont go to her site, she has pop ups that will freeze your pc...etc....and so on...Believe me it isnt worth it. Over time you will get traffic, I use pic posts once in awhile, they help alot...and those guys do come into your site. only thing is it eats your bandwith running pics(I dont know if your situation on bandwith) but I make sure I am making more than I am putting out....Hope that helps you...Good Luck... http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/smile.gif xoxo Heather

If you are on a free server you dont have bandwith cost, It is the transfer of info that your server sends...everytime someone loads something on your site, a pic, a page...etc...icons...it is transfering bandwith and like my server charges me, which I didnt know that until I got my bill...wow...Do you pay for your server? if you want traffic, submit your avs site to link lists and search engines. Spamming won't work.
